Applications are invited from the candidates residing in Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh for admission to the Undergraduate, Master's Programmes and Diploma courses for the academic session 2009-10 as per eligibility given below:-

B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.) 4 -year programme
B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.) 6-year programme
B.Tech. (Agri.Engg.) 4 -year programme
B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science 4-year programme
B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science 6-year programme
B.Ed. 1—year programme

MASTER'S PROGRAMMES: Agronomy, Extension Education, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Pomology, Vegetable Crops, Floriculture & Landscaping, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Soils, Food Technology, Forestry, Agril, Meterorology, Agril. Economics, Sociology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Food & Nutrition, Family Resource Management, Clothing & Textiles, Human Development, Home Science Extension Education, Farm Power & Machinery, Soil & Water Engineering, Processing &. Food Engineering, Civil Engineering (Hydrology & Water Resources Engg/ Structural Engg.) and Computer Science & Engineering.

MBA AGRIBUSINESS

Diploma Programmes:

One year Diplomas in Food Preservation & Baking, Interior Decoration, Fashion Designing and Management of Creche & Nursery School (for Girls only):
Eligibility: B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.) 4 -year programme: 10+2 or equivalent in Science/ Agriculture with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture with atleast 50% marks in aggregate or two year Diploma in Agriculture at the Institute of Agriculture, Gurdaspur with an OCPA of 7.50 out of 10.00.

B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.): Matriculation or equivalent with atleast 45% marks in aggregate.

B.Tech. (Agri.Engg.): 10+2 (Non-Medical group) or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The admission will be made on the basis of Combined Entrance Test (CET -2009) to be conducted by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science 4-year programme: (For Girls only): 10+2 (Medical/Non-Medical or Arts with Home Science subject) or equivalent with atleast 45% marks in aggregate. (Candidates from Science stream will be given preference over Arts stream).

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science 6-year programme: (for Girls only): Matriculation or equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

B.Ed. 1-year programme: B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.)/B.Sc. (Home Science) with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or OGPA of 2.00 (4.00 basis).

MASTER'S PROGRAMMES:

An OCPA of 5.00 out of 10.00 or 60% marks or equivalent at the Graduation level and for Economics & Sociology an OCPA of 5.50 out of 10.00 or 55% marks at the graduation level and as shown against the respective discipline in the Prospectus.

MBA AGRIBUSINESS: Graduate in any field of Agricultural Sciences or Allied subjects such as Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Sciences, Agri. Business Management, Home Science (4-year duration), B.Sc. (Ag. Maco.) with minimum OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or 60% marks.

DIPLOMA COURSES:

10+2 or equivalent.
Application procedure: Prospectus containing details about the schedule of counseling's/ interviews/admission procedure, reservation of seats etc. along with application form can be obtained from the Additional Director Communication, Centre for Communication and International Linkages, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana either by sending crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 785/-, drawn in his favour and payable at any scheduled bank at Ludhiana or personally at the counter from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on all working days on payment of Rs. 725/- in cash from 1 5.4.2009 onwards.

Prospectus can also be obtained from the Director, PAU Regional Research Station, Gurdaspur. Prospectus along with application forms will be sent under Postal Certificate and university will not be responsible for postal delay or loss in transit. While applying for the Prospectus and application forms, the candidates must indicate name of programme in which they want to seek admission.
