National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Hatia, Ranchi, has invited applications for admission to Post Doctoral Fellowship, Ph.D, M Tech. and Advanced Diploma Courses of Academic Year 2011-12.
(i) Post Doctoral and Doctoral programmes (PDF, Ph.D):
Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry, Forge and Allied Materials Processing Technology, Environmental Science and Engineering, Computational Materials Engineering, Pure and Applied Science
Eligibility:
PDF: PhD in relevant area
PhD: M.E.; M. Tech / M.Sc from a recognized institute / university;
(ii) Master of Technology courses (M.Tech):
(1) Foundry – Forge Technology (FFT); (2) Manufacturing engineering (ME); (3) Materials Science and engineering (MSE) and (4) Environmental Engineering (EE)
Eligibility:
M. Tech: FFT: Degree or equivalent in Mech.; Met; Prod. Engg;
ME: Degree in Mech; Met; Prod; elect; Aero; Chem; Ind; Manuf. Engg;
MSE: Degree in Mech; Met; Ceramic; Mat. Sc. & Engg or M Sc in Physics; Chemistry;
EE: Degree in Engineering (any branch) or M Sc in Physics; Chemistry; Environment.
Science Candidates with M. Sc must have studied Maths at 10+2 level. Minimum CGPA of 6.5 (6.0 for SC/ST) or 60% (55% for SC / ST) aggregate marks in essential;
(iii) Advanced Diploma Course (ADC – 3 semesters / 18 months):
(1) Foundry Technology; and (2) Forge Technology
Eligibility:
ADC: Diploma in Mech; Met; Prod Engg. Or B.Sc (Phy / Chem / Maths) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
Applications:
(a) PDF and PhD: Applications are to be submitted on plain paper with detailed CV including academic achievements, etc
(b) M Tech and ADC: Application forms and information brochure can be obtained by sending requisite application fee, in the form of DD drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favor of National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology payable of Ranchi along with a self addressed, stamped (Rs. 25.00) envelope of 28x16 cm size, to the Chairman, Academic Affairs;
(c) The application form and information brochure can be obtained on payment of application fee as follows:
Application Fee: PDF and PhD: No fee; M Tech; Rs. 350.00 for General/ OBC and Rs. 100.00 for SC/ST; ADC: Rs. 300.00 for General/ OBC and Rs. 80.00 for SC/ST; Separate application must be submitted for each M Tech branch.
