Institute Of Rail Transport, Room No. 17, Rail Bhavan, Raisina Road, New Delhi-110 001, has invited applications for admission to the One year Diploma Courses in Rail Transport Management (Course Fee: Rs.4000/-) and the Two Years Diploma Course in Port Development and Management (Course Fee: Rs 6000/-), through Correspondence.


Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma in any Engineering discipline from a recognized University/Institute is the eligibility for admission to each Programme.

The Courses have been approved by the Ministry of Railways and is useful to employees of the Railways, Trade and Industries and those in the Public and Private Sectors connected with Railway Transportation such as Steel, Coal, Port Trust, Fertilizer, POL, Cement, Non-Ferrous Metal Industries, Export etc. The Prospectus for all the Diploma Courses can be obtained from the Institute on payment of Rs 100/- each, by way of cash.

It can be obtained by Post, from ‘Institute of Rail Transport, Room No. 17, Rail Bhavan, Raisina Road, New Delhi-110 001’, by sending a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.100/-, taken in favour of ‘Institute of Rail Transport’, payable at New Delhi, with the name and address of the applicant and the name of the course applied for, written on the back side of the Demand Draft along with a self addressed envelope of size 11"x5" with stamps worth Rs.15/- affixed on it.

Applications can be submitted till June 30, 2011.
