M.Phil (Museology and Heritage Studies) Admissions 2011-2012

The applications on prescribed forms have been invited for admission to two term full time M.Phil Programme (Museology and Heritage Studies) in the Centre for Studies in Museology, University of Jammu for the Academic session 2011-2012.

Candidates having minimum of 55% in MA Museology, History, Archaeology, History of Art, Conservation, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, Botany, Geology, Zoology, MBA (HT), MBA, Buddhist Studies, Fine Arts, Environment Science, Chemistry, Fine Arts, languages , Law, etc, from the University of Jammu or any other University / Institution recognize d by UGC are eligible for admission. Out of total seats, 8% are reserved for SC / ST categories.

Application Forms are available from the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Forms and Stationary), University of Jammu, Jammu. Applications complete in all respects and duly supported by relevant documents should reach the office of the Centre for Studies in Museology, 1st floor, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, University of Jammu, Jammu on or before 31st October, 2011 till 5 pm.

Admission shall be based on Entrance Test on 14th November, 2011 (Time: 11 am) which will consist of 1. Research Aptitude component (25 marks) and 2. Academic component (75 marks).

Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 500/- should be paid by DD in favour of, Director, Centre for Studies in Museology.

A candidate shall require minimum 50% marks in Entrance Test. The merit of the candidate shall be calculated on the basis of 50% weightage to the Entrance Test and 50% weightage to the Academic merit of the candidate at the PG level.
