MPharm Entrance Applications



Applications have been invited by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations for the Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Degree Course in Pharmacy (M.Pharm)-2011 in the following specialties:
(a) Pharmaceutical Analysis (b) Pharmacognosy & Phyto Chemistry (c) Pharmaceutics (d) Pharmacology (e) Pharmacy Practice (f) Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Eligibility for Admission

(i) Nativity: Only Indian citizens of Kerala origin are eligible to apply. For sponsored seats all Indian citizens are eligible.
(ii) Academic qualifications: Pass in B.Pharm Degree of any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other Universities recognized by the Kerala University of Health & Allied Sciences as equivalent thereto from an institution recognized by the AICTE with a minimum of 55% marks for all the four years of B.Pharm examination taken together. Also for lecturers in Pharmacy who seek admission against the reserved quota, the minimum marks will be 55%.

Selection: Based on Entrance Examination (except for seats reserved for Lecturer in Pharmacy, nominee of Drugs Control Department/Service candidates under DME/ DHS/ESI and Sponsored candidates) to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala on 11.12.2011 at Thiruvananthapuram. The Entrance Examination shall be of the standard of B.Pharm and will consist of one paper of three hours duration with 200 objective (multiple choice) type questions.

How to apply : Prospectus and Online Application form will be available from
16.11.2011 onwards on the website
www.cee.kerala.gov.in . Application forms are common for General, Service and Sponsored candidates and Application Fee is Rs.800/-(Rupees Eight Hundred Only). Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the online application form provided on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fee at any State Bank of Travancore Branch using the Bank Chalan which is available with the online application print out. Candidates residing outside Kerala state can remit the application fee by way of Demand Draft drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application forms will not be sold from the office of the CEE or office of the DME. Application Fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

For Service & Sponsored candidates, application fee should be remitted in the Treasury under the Head of Account “0210-03-105-99” and the chalan receipt should be attached with the application form.

Last date and time for receipt of printout of application forms: Candidates applying for Entrance Examination should take a printout of the application form, affix passport size photograph duly attested by the candidate in the space provided and forward their completed application with all the required documents mentioned in clause XII of the prospectus including original Bank Chalan/DD, to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Vth Floor, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – 695 001, either by Registered Post/Speed Post/Hand Delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 30.11.2011.

Applicants to Service quota seats/Sponsored seats should complete all the procedures mentioned in clause XI of the Prospectus. Instead of forwarding the printout of the application form to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, they are required to forward the completed application form along with copies of all required documents and original chalan receipt from the treasury to The Director of Medical Education, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram-695 011, through their Heads of Department before the last date stipulated above.

Candidates who apply for both the Entrance Examination and Service/Sponsored quota seats need to submit the original application to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and a photocopy of the application form to the DME, but separate fees should be remitted for the purpose as applicable.

Issue of Admit Cards: The Admit Cards for the candidates appearing for Entrance Examination will be available online from 06/12/2011 onwards on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in. The candidates may take the printout of the Admit Card which can be used for identification of the candidate in the examination hall.

Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the respective format given in the Application form itself. The certificates, which are not in the format specified in the application form, will not be considered under any circumstances.

The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, publish the Rank list of candidates based on merit as assessed in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to Director of Medical Education for allotment and admission.
