Admission for Research Scholars Program - 2012


The CDFD (Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics) Hydrabad, is apremier institue in the country, which provides services in DNBA Fingerpring and Diagnostics and conducts basic research in the frontier areas of Modern Biology.

The current researh themes incluldes:
Computational and structural biology, genetics and epigenetics, silmoth genomics, molecular pathogenesis, cancer and stem cell biology, cell signalling, and molecular and cellular biology (the details are listed on our website www.cdfd.org.in).

We invite application from highly motivated candidates, willing to take up challenges in modern biology, for admission to our Research Scholars program. Keeping in view the interdisciplinary nature of modern biology, we especially encourage persons from diverse backgrounds to apply. Those admitted as research Scholars would be encouraged to apply for Ph.D program of Manipal University or University of Hyderabad.

Eligibility: MBBS or Masters degree in any branch of Science, Technology or Agriculture from a cecognized University/ Institute. Candidates (other than MBBS graduates) must have cleared the must have cleared the CSIR/UGC/DBTICMR/INSPIRE NET for JRF or GATE (All India Top 1000 Ranks of all streams) or JEST. MBBS candidates are expted from any of the eligibility tests mentioned herein. those who have appeared for their final semester examination, but are awaiting results, are also eligibility to apply. However, only those candidates will be considered who produce proof of having cleared the CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMRI/ICAR/INSPIRE NET JRF or have qualified BINC examiantion conducted by the DBT with fellowship or GATE (All India top 100 Ranks of all the streams) or JEST. Admission to CDFD-Research Scholars program is bassed on a 2-tier system involving a writern/ LAN based examiantion followed by interview of candidates who ahve qualified the written/ LAN based examination. for queries regarding the mode of exam, syllabus, etc. click on FAQs.

Interested candidates who filfill the above condition may register their names for RESEAERCH SCHOLARS PROGRA - 2012 by applying in the prescribed application form online. Complete the application form online at http://www.cdfd.org.in .

The Online facility of application will open on 12-03-2012 and will be closed on 30-04-2012.

In case of candidate whose JRF examination results are announced after 30-04-2012 but, before the written/ LAN based examiantion of CDFD take place, and have qualified the NET with fellowship are also eligible to appear for the CDFD examination up furnishing the relevant details of ahving cleared the JRF/ NET with fellowship under SPOT REGISTRATION category.

Applications may also be made on plain paper as per the format displyed on our website. List of shortlisted candidates for the LAN examination will be displayed on our website on 11-05-2012. the Individual Admit Card/ Hall Ticket with details of user name, password, venue of the examination and time will be sent though e-mail.

No individual inimation letter would be sent.

Eligible candidates will be called for Computer based LAN examination on 24-06-2012.

those who qualify the LAN based examiantion will be interviewed on 25-06-2012.


NO TA/ DA will be paid, Director, CDFD reserves the right to accept/ reject any or all applications without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
