B.L.D.E. University invites Application for ALL INDIA UNDER GRADUATE MEDICAL ENTRANCE TEST – 2012 (BLDEU-UGET-2012) from eligible Candidates for admission to SHRI. B. M. PATIL MEDICAL COLLEGE, HOSPITAL & RESEARCH CENTRE, BIJAPUR, the constituent college. Admission will be made in accordance with admission policy of BLDE University, which has been framed as per the guidelines of MCI and UGC.

BLDE University, Bijapur, Karantaka, has invited applications from eligible candidates for All India Under Graduate Medical Entrance Test-2012 (BLDEU-UGET-2012), for admission to MBBS Course of 2012-13, at Shri. BM Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Campus, Sholapur Road, Bijapur, Karnataka-586103, the constituent college of the University.
Applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2012 and should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 Higher secondary or equivalent examination with the last two years of study comprising Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Bio-technology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. Applicant must have passed these subjects individually and should have 50% marks if belonging to General Category, 45% if with locomotor disability of lower limbs ( as certified by competent issuing authority) and 40 percent if belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward classes (as declared by the Government of Karnataka from time to time).
Those who are likely to appear or have appeared for qualifying examination (PUC-II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent) but whose results have not been declared will also be considered eligible to appear for BLDEU-UGET-2012, provided they have appeared for the mentioned subjects at the said examination. Foreign / PIO / NRI students need not appear for BLDEU-UGET-2012. Their admission will be based on the marks of qualifying examination.
Test Scheme : BLDEU-UGET-2012 will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM on 20.5.2012 at Bijapur, Hubli, Bangalore, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Ranchi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Trivandrum. It will be a single test comprising 180 questions, with 60 questions from Physics, 60 questions from Chemistry and 60 questions from Biology. Candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet (Optical Mark Reader). Correct answer for each question will be awarded one mark. No Marks will be awarded for wrong answers. No Mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) of any question. There is no negative marking.
The syllabus for the test will be based on the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Bio-technology subjects of PUC I & II year prescribed by the Pre University Board of Karnataka. Details of the syllabus are available in the website.
Application : Application forms can be downloaded from http://www.bldeu.in till 5th May, 2012. Relevant information and data entry is to be made in the online application format by the candidate before generating the application form. Hard copy of the generated application form along with relevant enclosures should be sent to the University. A Demand Draft for Rs 1,500/-, drawn in favour of The Registrar, BLDE University, Bijapur-586103 payable at Bijapur, Karnataka -586103, should accompany the hard copy of the application. The completed application form with the necessary documents as listed in the Information Brochure should reach "The Registrar, BLDE University, Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Campus, Sholapur Road, Bijapur, Karnataka - 586103", latest by 5 pm on 11.5.2012.
TAT card can be downloaded from the University website from 12th May, 2012 onwards. Rank list will be published on or before June 5, 2012. First round of counselling and admission will commence on June 19, 2012.
The total intake for MBBS is 150 of which 120 seats are under General category. 15% seats (23) are for NRI / Foreign / PIO / Others. 5% free seats (7) will be offered to candidates from Bijapur district, free of cost (Tuition fee and 50% of Hostel fee, if opted for hostel accommodation). To become eligible for this, the candidate should be domicile of and should have studied in Bijapur district and should have rank within 1500 in Karnataka CET-2012 test and should also be eligible in the BLDEU-UGET-2012 for MBBS course. Candidates desirous to opt for admission under this category will have to apply separately in the prescribed form available at the website. Selection will be on the inter-se merit on the ranks awarded by Karnataka CET-2012.
Tuition Fees per annum is Rs. 5,90,000/. In addition, caution money of Rs.5,000/-, eligibility fee of Rs. 2,000/- and Miscellaneous fee of Rs. 5,750/- have to be paid.
