AWARD OF NTS-I RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

The NTS-India has invited applications from post graduates/ researchers in Humanities / Social science / language and literature disciplines of study for the award of Doctoral (30) and Post Doctoral (15) Fellowships (including two Doctoral and one Post Doctoral for North-Eastern Region) for the year 2012-13.

The value of fellowship for doctoral research is Rs. 10,000/- per month with a contingency of Rs. 20,000/- per annum; for post doctoral research Rs. 12,000/- per month with a contingency of Rs.30,000/- per annum. The period of the fellowship is 3 years for doctoral research and 2 years for Post doctoral research respectively and may be extended by one more year based on a strict assessment procedure in deserving cases.

General Eligibility:

(i)                  Anyone with first or high second class master-degree (with a minimum of 55%) in Language/ Humanities/ Social Science / Literature / Management / Law, etc. is eligible to apply.

(ii)                In addition to the master-degree in any of the above disciplines a degree in education will have an added advantage.

(iii)               The applicants should not have attained the age of 30 years for Doctoral Fellowship and 35 years for Post Doctoral Fellowship as on 1-11-12. (For SC/ST candidates a relaxation of 5 years is permissible)

(iv)              The scholar should work on a topic involving evaluation principles, under the supervision of an approved guide in any recognized university of the country.

The duly filled in applications in the prescribed format should reach the Head, NTS-India, CIIL, Mysore - 570 006, within 21 days, i.e 28-11-2012 for all the research scholars and 28 days i.e. 05-12-2012 for the scholars of North-Eastern Region, from the date of publication of this advertisement.
