NBE Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) JANUARY-2013

NBE (National Board of Examinations) shall conduct Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) 2013 session for admission to various Fellowship Programmes on 19th January 2013 in the following sub-specialties:

1.     Critical Care Medicine
2.     Reproductive Medicine
3.     Cardiac Anesthesia
4.     Minimal Access Surgery
5.     Vitreo-Retinal Surgery
6.     Interventional Cardiology
7      Pediatric Cardiology
8.     Spine Surgery
9.     Hand & Micro Surgery
10.   Trauma Care
11.   Pediatrics Hemato Oncology
12.   Pediatrics Intensive Care
13.   Laboratory Medicine
14.   Infectious Diseases
15.   High Risk Pregnancy & Perinatology

Duly completed application form along with examination fee receipt can be submitted to the office of NBE latest by 31st December, 2012.

IMPORTANT DATES
1. Last Date of submission of application form :
i) Fellowship Entrance Test 31st December, 2012
Applications must reach the NBE office by the close of office on cut-off date mentioned above. No concession shall be given on any ground including postal delays or delivery delays.

2. Date of Fellowship Entrance Test  Saturday, 19th January 2013
Duration - 2 Hours 10.00 A.M - 12.00 P.M

NOTE: i) No application will be entertained under any circumstances after the cut-off date.
ii) Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully and fill correct information.
iii) Incomplete applications or applications not in accordance with instructions prescribed shall not be considered

OBJECTIVES :
NBE offers 2 years Post doctoral fellowship courses with following objectives:
1. To facilitate and encourage post-graduates aspiring to learn skills and competencies in their area of interest.
2. To provide highest quality of specialty services comparable to any country in the world.
3. To recognize “Centre(s) of Excellence” and to identify experts in various sub-specialties and allied sciences.
4. To create a forum for high level scientific interaction between expert groups.
5. To facilitate and encourage our young post-graduates aspiring to provide for higher level of specialized services in own country.
6. To prevent brain drain of qualified medical professionals leaving our country for further academic achievements.
7. To improve and promote the existing medical institutions in India to perform high professional services in various fields.
8. To promote medical research and Innovations adaptable to the socioeconomic status and culture of our country.
9. To conduct evaluation by appropriate mechanism for assessment of training programme examination before certification as specialist by the National Board of Examinations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(A) Candidates who are in possession of Post Graduate Medical Degree/ Provisional Pass Certificate by the last date of application submission i.e. 31.12.2012 in the eligible* specialties and their Medical qualifications are recognized as per the provisions of IMC Act (1956) may apply for FET- January 2013.
(B) Candidates who are in possession of DNB degree certificate/Provisional Pass Certificate by the last date of application submission i.e. 31.12.2012 in the eligible* specialties may apply for FET - January 2013.

Candidate should possess permanent registration certificate of MBBS qualification and their additional medical qualification should be recognised as per provision of IMC Act.

Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of FET will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the FET, the results/candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.

Requests for appearing in FET from candidates who are qualifying and getting their results of the basic eligibility qualification after last date of application submission shall be summarily rejected.

Candidate who are qualifying or likely to qualify and getting their results after the last date of application submission need not apply in the FET as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.

Candidates already pursuing a DM/MCh or DNB/FNB course are not eligible to appear for the FET till such time they have completed the duration of prescribed course or have been discharged from the course.

Registration and /or appearance in FETdo not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at NBE accredited hospital /institute.


Payment of Fees
i) Fellowship Entrance Test Rs. 3650/-
ii) Internet Downloaded forms Rs. 750/-

Note: Internet Downloaded forms to be accompanied with form fees of Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty Only.

Deposition of Fees:
By cash Deposit - At any branch of Indian Bank (website : www.indianbank.in)  or Axis Bank (website : www.axisbank.com) . The fee as above can be deposited a any branch of the Indian Bank or Axis Bank; Kindly use the specialized pay-in-slip provided along with this Information Bulletin for this purpose. Pay-in-slip can also be downloaded from NBE Website www.natboard.edu.in. NBE copy of pay-in-slip is required to be submitted in original alongwith application form.

Banks are permitted to levy transaction charges for the above as follows:
Indian Bank - Rs. 30/- per Challan
Axis Bank - Rs. 70/- per Challan

Kindly Note:
Fee submitted through demand draft shall not be accepted.
There is no fee deposit counter in NBE Office.
Candidates remaining absent from the examination will forfeit their examination fee. Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

FEES SHALL NEITHER BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED FORWARD IF THE APPLICATION FOR FELLOWSHIP ENTRANCE IS REJECTED/ CANDIDATURE IS FOUND TO BE INELIGIBLE
