SCHOLARSHIPS

All the full time scholars admitted to the Ph.D. of the University Departments will be eligible for a monthly fellowship of Rs.8000/- with contingency. Integrated P.G.-Ph.D. students will get a monthly stipend of Rs.1000/- for four semesters and Rs.8000/- p.m. with contingency for the rest of the period as applicable to other Ph.D. All students of the M.Sc. Marine Biology, Disaster Management (Port Blair) and M.Sc. Five Year Integrated Programmes will get scholarship. In addition, Merit Scholarships, Merit cum Means Scholarships and Freeships are available to deserving students of P.G. Degree programmes.

APPLICATION FEE: For all courses Rs.100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC / ST, exempted for

differently abled candidates - supported with relevant certificates). Use separate applications for each programme.

ONLINE: Application form can be submitted online through the University website www.pondiuni.edu.in by following the instructions given therein. Application fee must be credited at Pondicherry University Account in any of the following banks all over India under Core Banking System on payment of the cost of Application Form plus Bank charges as per the instructions given in the website.

BY POST: For Application Form by post write with course name to The Deputy Registrar (Academic II), Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Administrative Building, Pondicherry University, R.V. Nagar, Kalapet, Puducherry 605 014. along with a self addressed envelope of size 32cm x 25cm, stamped for Rs.90/- and DD for the prescribed application fee drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Pondicherry University, payable at Puducherry. Request for application must be superscribed on the envelope "Request for application form for admission..." (course name)

IN PERSON: The application form can also be obtained from the Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Credit Society at the University campus on payment of the cost of the application form plus Rs. 10/- as service charge.

IMPORTANT: No seperate application and entrance examination for Integrated P.G. - Ph.D. programmes. Candidates applying for respective P.G. programmes will be considered for admission as per merit.
