Executive Fellowship Programme in Management (EFPM) Admission
Notice 2013-2014
IIM Kashipur’s Executive Fellow Programme in
Management (EFPM)is a non-residential doctoral programme designed to address
the academic and research needs of working professionals from business,
government and social sector. Fellow programmes of IIMs are accorded
equivalence to Ph.D by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The
objectives of the programme are:
To reduce the gap between management theory and
practices through knowledge creation and dissemination in interdisciplinary
areas of management
To encourage cutting edge research in diverse areas
of management by addressing the contemporary and future problems and issues
relevant to business, government and society
To develop expertise among prospective scholars for
careers in management research and teaching and thereby address the shortage of
high quality management faculty in the country
DURATION OF
THE PROGRAMME
The programme should be completed within 4 years
after registration, which may be extended by another one year subject to merits
of the case and favorable review of work progress by the Research Committee.

ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA
The candidates for the programme should have one of
the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated
by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational
institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a
university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent
qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an
equivalent qualification from an institution recognized and approved by AICTE/AIU.
A master's degree in any discipline with at least
60% marks or equivalent grade point average with a Bachelor's degree /
equivalent qualification after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2)
(OR)
Five year integrated Masters Degree Programme in
any discipline with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing higher
secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent (OR)
A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with
at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average (OR)
4 years / 8 semester bachelor's degree
(B.E./B.Tech./B. Arch. etc.) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point
average.
*Minimum 10 years of managerial/executive work
experience is required.
SELECTION
PROCESS
Candidates are required to take any of the Standard
Tests like CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC-JRF and submit scores, provided any of these
tests has been taken within preceding two years period at the time of
application.(For alumni of full-time two-year PGP from IIMs, standard test
scores not required.)
Those who cannot submit scores from said
examinations mayneed to take Research Aptitude Test to be conducted by IIM
Kashipur (date and details for the same will be communicated through IIM
Kashipur website by October 2013)
Based on test scores, shortlisted candidates willbe
called for personal interview (PI) at IIM Kashipur Campus.
Final selection will be based on candidate’s
cumulative performance in test and PI.
Application
Form
The EFPM information Brochure along with the
application form can be obtained from September 16, 2013 onwards from IIM
Kashipur campus through the payment of Rs. 2000/- by a/c. payee draft payable
to “Indian Institute of Management Kashipur”. Advertisement for EFPM programme
will be placed in September 2013.
PROGRAMME
FEES
The total fee of the programme will be Rs.5 Lakhs
over the 4 year period from the date of registration including the boarding and
lodging charges for the candidate when he/she visits the campus for Ph.D. work.
The fee will be Rs. 2 Lakhs in the first year followed by Rs. 1 Lakh in each of
the following three years. The total fee of the programmeneeds to be paid
before a candidate submits his/her thesis work. There will be additional fee
payable at the start of the fifth year if the candidate fails to complete
his/her Ph.D. thesis work within the stipulated four year period.

Last date for payment of first year fee for selected
candidates: 10th February, 2014
