Two Years Master's Degree Programmes
RGNIYD is located in a sprawling campus at Sriperumbudur about 40
k.m. away from Chennai. As the acclaimed Institute of academic excellence in
the field of Youth Development, RGNIYD is responsive to the needs and
aspirations of the youth in India. It is elevated to the status of an Institute
of National Importance by the Act of Parliament in 2012.
RGNIYD is launching cutting edge Post-Graduate programmes in the
areas of Youth Empowerment, Career Counselling, Local Governance, Gender
Studies and Life Skills Education. In addition, new master's degree
programme in Development Practice with diverse specialisations is introduced in
2013-2015.

ELIGIBILITY: Any bachelor's degree with a minimum of
45 percent marks in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates
whose final year results awaited can also apply.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: The candidates will be
selected on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying degree examination and
performance in the entrance test and interview conducted. The candidates
qualified in the entrance test for Master's Degree Programmes conducted by TISS,
Mumbai will be exempted from the entrance test and can appearfor Interview
directly.
RULES OF RESERVATION: Reservation
of seats as per the Government of India rules._
Application forms with prospectus can be obtained by any ONE of
the following:
* Directly from the Institute on payment of ?2007- in cash. For
SC/ST and differently abled students- Rs.100/-
* Application obtained through written requisition or Downloaded
should be filled in and sent along with a Demand Draft for Rs.200 (for SC/ST and
differently abled students Rs.100/-) drawn on a nationalised bank with self -
addressed stamped (Rs.25) envelope in favour of The Director, Rajiv Gandhi
National Institute of Youth Development, payable at Sriperumbudur.

Applications are invited for Master's Degree Programmes
Online applications are also entertained and spot admission will be
made on 15 August, 2013. After passing the Entrance Examination, the
eligible and qualified candidates have to join the M.A. couse immediately.
