Integrated MPhil/PhD in Applied Economics Admission Notice

Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Trivandrum,
Kerala has invited applications for admission to its full-time programmes
leading to Integrated MPhil/PhD in Applied Economics. The Programmes will
commence on August 03, 2015.
ELIGIBILITY:
Master’s in any subject
Those who have a master’s degree can apply for the
course. Those awaiting results of the qualifying examination may also apply.
Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the Programme only if
their previous institutions certify that they have completed all requirements
for award of degree. The name of such candidate shall stand automatically
removed from the rolls of the Centre & University if he/she fails Master’s
programme, when his/her results are announced.
The Selection Process:
Selection is
based on an entrance test and interview. Entrance test is scheduled on May 24th
2015 from 10.00am to 12.00 noon at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New
Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the
basis of the written test. Interview is scheduled on July 1 & 2, 2015 at
CDS, Thiruvananthapuram.
Minimum Marks to be obtained in the interview in
order to be considered for selection
· General Category – 40%
· OBC (NCL) - 36%
· SC/ST/PH - 30%

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees
Study
Proposal written in English (Please read the guidelines with the Application
form for details)
Application Fee of Rs. 200, as a DD drawn in favour
of the Centre for Development Studies, payable at Trivandrum.
SC, ST and PH (with ≥ 40% disability) applicants
are exempted from payment of the application fee
