(2015-2018) and ADC Programmes (2015-2017) conducted at National Institute Of
Foundry & Forge Technology, Hatia, Ranchi, 834003.

ELIGIBILITY
(a) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): M.E. /M. Tech. From
a recognized Institute/University in Mechanical, Metallurgy & Materials
Engineering, Production, Manufacturing Engineering and allied disciplines with
a least 6.5 CGPA (or 60% marks) in aggregate.
OR
B. E/B. Tech. or its equivalent from a recognized
Institute/ University in Mechanical, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering,
Production, Manufacturing Engineering and allied disciplines with at least 7.5
CGPA (or 70% marks) in aggregate.
Note: To be eligible for Institute scholarship, a
valid GATE score/NET qualification is mandatory for candidates not possessing
M.E. /M. Tech degree.
(b) Advanced Diploma Course (ADC): Diploma in
Automobile / Metallurgical/ Mechanical/ Production/ Manufacturing Engineering/
B. Sc. Degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50% marks.
(C) In all programmes, a relaxation of 0.5 CGPA (or
5% marks) is allowed for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.
(d) Those appearing in the final qualifying
examination may also apply. However, such candidates will have to produce all
the relevant documents within 60days from the date of admission. No further
extension will be allowed beyond the stipulated period under any circumstances
and his/her admission will be cancelled.
(e) Few seats are available in ADC for sponsored
candidates.
SCHOLARSHIP/ STIPEND
(a) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): 18,000/- per month
for the first two years and 20,000/- per month for the 3rd and 4th year for
candidates admitted with Institute scholarship. However scholarship may be
enhanced as per MHRD norms.
(b) Advanced Diploma Course (ADC): 2,500/- per
month for all selected candidates.
(c ) No scholarship for sponsored candidates.
HOW TO APPLY
(a) The application forms and information brochure
can be obtained by sending requisite application fee, in the form of DD drawn
on any Nationalized Bank in favor of National Institute of Foundry and Forge
Technology payable at Ranchi along with a self-addressed, stamped (Rs. 40)
envelope of 28x16 cm size, to the Dean (Academic). The application forms and
information brochure can also be obtained in person from the academic section
of the Institute by producing DD towards application fee. Alternatively, the
application form and information brochure can be downloaded from the Institute
Website also.
(b) Application Fee:
PhD: 1000.00 for General/OBC and 500.00 for SC/ST.
ADC: 500.00 for General/OBC and 250.00 for SC/ST.
(c ) Filled application with all supporting
document may be sent to Dean (Academic), NIFFT, Hatia, Ranchi ? 834003. The
application forms downloaded from the Institute website must be accompanied
with the requisite application fee in the form of DD drawn on any Nationalized
Bank in favor of National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology payable at
Ranchi.
