Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi has invited applications for admission to DM / MCh (3 years) Course of  August 2014 in the following subjects:

ELIGIBILITY:

D.M:

Medical graduates holding the degree of M.D. (Medicine) or M.D. (Paediatrics) or DNB in respective subjects or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.

M.Ch. :

M.S. /DNB (Surgery) or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. For the Surgical Oncology, the candidates having MS/DNB in ENT, orthopedics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology are also eligible.

For the above courses the candidates must have passed the MD/MS/DNB Examination on or before 31st May 2014.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS:

Application forms can be downloaded from web sites www.bhu.ac.in  & www.imsbhu.nic.in

i) The eligible candidate may apply online by filling up all the entries of application form.

ii) A candidate can apply and appear for one subject only either for regular residency seat or for the sponsored category.

iii) Scanned copies of all the mark sheets / certificates / degrees / registration number and other documents (from High School to MD/MS/DNB) must be uploaded along with application form.

iv) Candidates who are in service of Government/Semi Government/Statutory Body must upload along with application the scanned copy of endorsement certificate of the Employer on the proforma as provided in the application form.

v) Duly completed application must be accompanied with online payment of Rs.2500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred only) towards examination fees and is not refundable in any case.

vi) The completed application form in all respects along with all necessary enclosures should be uploaded at BHU Web Sites www.bhu.ac.in  & www.imsbhu.nic.in  on  or before Monday, 10th May 2014, 5.00 PM.

vii) Incomplete applications in any respect will be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Applications (even if complete) received after the last date will not be entertained on any ground.

iii) The passport size photograph must be self attested, snapped with front profile, showing full head, face, shoulder and with both ears and taken without wearing any Cap/Hat/Sun glasses. Photographs must be taken on or after 31st December 2013 with a placard indicating the date and name of the candidate.

iv) Provisional admit card shall be sent by registered post to the candidate. If an eligible candidate does not receive the admit card, he/she may contact the office of the director, IMS, BHU Varanasi on 5th July, 2013 between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM along with 2 copies of self attested passport size photograph identical to those uploaded in original application form.

Eligibility:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Nursing)
Bachelor of Pharm (BPharm) (Ay)
Intermediate 10+2 OR equivalent from the recognized board/university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English with minimum 50% aggregate marks (PCBE) for General/OBC category and 40% for SC/ST category. The age of the candidates should be between 17 to 25 years for all categories as on 31-07-2012.

1) The prescribed application form and information booklet can be downloaded from IMS website (www.imsbhu.nic.in) or BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in.) from 14-1-2012 to 22-03-2012. Duly completed application form along with Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU payable at Varanasi, should reach the office of the Director, IMS, BHU, on or before 28-03-2012.

2) Application form & information booklet can also be obtained from the office of the Director, IMS, BHU, Varanasi-221 005,

A) by post from 14-01-2012 to 22-03-2012 by sending a self addressed unstamped envelope along with a letter of request and a DD of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU, payable at Varanasi.

B). In person from 14-01-2012 to 22-03-2012 on payment of Rs 50.00 by cash. A DD of Rs.1000/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU, payable at Varanasi, has to be paid at the time of submission of form.

A "LATEX Training Programme" is scheduled to be held during February 13 18, 2012 at DST- Center for Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences (DST-CIMS).

The classes will take place in the Computer Lab, DST-CIMS from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Interested persons can submit Filled application, duly forwarded by their supervisor/Head of the Deptt., to the Coordinator, DST-CIMS, BHU on or before February 5, 2012.

A candidate shall be required to have passed the qualifying examination securing the minimum percentage of marks and a minimum of 50 marks in Academic Record.
