Master of Science and Post-Masters Diploma Admissions 2012
Applications have been invited by Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, for entrance test leading to admission for Master of Science and Post -Masters Diploma courses of Academic Year 2012.
I. Courses and the eligibility for admission are as follows:
1) MSc Forestry: Three years Bachelor's degree in science with atleast one of the subjects, namely Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Forestry.
2) MSc Wood Science & Technology: Three years Bachelor's degree with physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or BSc degree in Forestry
3) MSc Environment Management: Three years Bachelor's degree in any branch of basic or applied sciences or Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or Agriculture or BE / BTech in Environment Science.
4) Post Master Diploma in Natural Resource Management: MSc in any discipline
II.Percentage of Marks in the qualifying examination:
Candidates should be having 50% or above marks in general category and 45% marks for scheduled castes/scheduled tribes.
III. Centres of Examination:
Dehradun, Jabalpur, Bangalore, Kolkota, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Shimla, Ranchi, Coimbatore and Jorhat
IV. Application Procedure:
Information Bulletin and application form can be obtained by post on submitting a Bank Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) payable at Dehradun in favour of Registrar, FRI (Deemed) University, P.O IPE, Kaulagarh Road, Dehradun - 248195.
Application forms can also be availed from the counter of the Union Bank of India (FRI Branch, Dehradun).
