Eligibility Criteria: Minimum marks in the qualifying degree for eligibility for admission is 50% of marks for SC/ST/Physically/Visually differently-abled, 55% of marks for all others

Entrance Examination: Entrance examination in Multiple Choice Questions Pattern will be held on the prescribed date for all M.Phil programs offered by the university

All candidates whose applications are in order will have to take the entrance examination which will be conducted in the University premises in Karaikudi

Selection Procedure: Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examinations and qualifying degree

The provisionally selected candidates will be intimated by post

Admission Procedure: Al selections are provisional only until fulfillment of all eligibility and other requirements

On receipt of admission intimation, candidates willing to join the candidate should submit prescribed original certificates, an undertaking signed by the Parent / guardian and the candidate and remit the fees either annually or semester wise as prescribed by the university within the stipulated date

The selected candidate shall submit the following original certificates at the time of admission to the concerned Heads of Department, Original cumulative marks statement / grade certificate, provisional certificate, transfer certificate of the qualifying degree, community certificate for verification and return and medical fitness certificate, two passport size photos need to be produced along with Rs 5/- stamped envelope

Application Form:

 Applications can be obtained from the Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi-630003 on payment of the cost of the application, Rs 500/- (Rs five hundred only) (for SC/ST candidates Rs 250/-) (Rs two hundred and fifty only on production of attested copy of community certificate) through a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Alagappa University, payable at Karaikudi

Applications can be had in person or through post

For postal mode, the requisition letter and course of study with applicable demand draft must be accompanied

Candidates can use university website downloaded application and shall enclose the demand draft for Rs 500/- (Rs 250/- for SC/ST candidates, on production of attested copy of community certificate)

Application Submission: The candidates should submit the filled in application form to the Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi during the office hours 10.00 a.m. to 05.45 p.m. or by post before the stipulated date

4. Ph.D. in Education – Only those who have passed M.Ed., alone is eligible to apply

Selection:
Selection is based on the marks secured in the Entrance Examination (100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with 50% weightage) and marks in qualifying PG Degree (with 50% weightage).

Application:
The cost of application is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC / ST on submission of copy of Community certificate). Application and Prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi on written requisition by mentioning the subject of MPhil program along with a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "THE REGISTRAR, ALAGAPPA UNIVERSITY" Payable at "KARAIKUDI".
