Eligible candidates desirous of pursuing Ph.D. Program (both FT/PT) in the University are informed to apply in the prescribed format and take up the Qualifying Entrance Examination (Written test and Interview).

II. Faculty of Arts i) Tamil ii) English iii) Women’s Studies iv) Rural Development v) History and vi) Economics.
III) Faculty of Education i) Education and ii) Physical Education & Health Science
IV) Faculty of Management i) Commerce ii) Corporate Secretaryship iii) Bank Management iv) Management Studies and v) International Business
Eligibility:
Candidates those who have passed through 10+2+3+2 / 11+1+3+2 pattern alone can apply
1. P.G. Degree with 50% of marks for SC/ST
2. P.G. Degree with 55% of marks for all others
3. P.G. Degree with 50% of marks for those who got P.G. Degree prior to 1st January 1991
4. Ph.D. in Education – Only those who have passed M.Ed., alone is eligible to apply

Cost of application is Rs.500/- payable by way of DD in favour of The Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi and payable at Karaikudi” on any scheduled Bank, Application downloaded from the Web must be accompanied by a DD for Rs 500/-.
