University of Kerala has invited applications for admission to the MTech courses of following specializations:
1. Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing) - Department of Computer Science
2. Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical Communication) - Department of Optoelectronics
3. Technology Management - Department of Futures Studies
Eligibility
1. MTech Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing):
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks in one of the following branches: Computer Science and Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University OR First Class Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Application from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree.
2. Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical Communication)
At least a second class BE / BTech or equivalent degree with 55% marks in Electronics / Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation or M. Sc. Degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Electronic Science or Electronics of the University of Kerala or equivalent. Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for the SC / ST candidates are 50%.
3. BTech Degree or equivalent in any branch of Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks from any of the recognized Universities in India.
How to Apply
(i) Application form can be obtained by hand or by Post or can be downloaded.
The registration fee and fee for application form for MTech Courses are as follows:
1. Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing): Rs. 300/-.
2. Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical Communication): Rs.500/-
3. Technology Management: Rs. 300/-
Requests for application forms may be addressed to The Professor and Head, of the concerned departments of Kerala University. The request should be sent along with the pay-in-slip of University Cash Counter or crossed DD issued by any branch of SBT or SBI or District Co-operative banks, drawn in favour of The Finance Officer, University of Kerala, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. In case the candidates choose to send a DD, he/she should send a DD for relevant fee and the name of person for whom the remittance is made and the purpose of remittance should be stated on the back of the DD.
Request for application through post should be accompanied by self-addressed, stamped envelope.
(ii) The application correctly filled along with attested copies of the following documents
Mark lists of all examinations (semesters / years)
GATE score card
Community certificate for SC/ST reservation
Community and Income certificate for OBC reservation
BPL certificate for BPL reservation
Disability certificate from the Medical Board of a Government Hospital for Physically Handicapped reservation
(iii) The application form can also be downloaded from the University of Kerala website (www.keralauniversity.ac.in ) or from the Department website (www.dcsku.org ). The filled up Application and Hall Ticket (for non-gate & sponsored candidates) along with the fees remitted and copies of certificates should be sent to The Professor & Head, Concerned department, University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 581 on or before 01-08-2011.
