Application are invited for admission to the MBA Full Time (2 years) course 2012-13


Eligibility : The candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ OBC), of any of the Universities incorporated in any act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institution established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final examination of bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally and will be required to submit the result/Marksheet by September, 2012. In case eligible OBC candidates are not available the vacant seats under OBC category will be filled up by waitlisted General Category candidates as per merit.


Admission Procedure : Candidates applying for MBA are required to have qualified in CAT-2011. The admission to MBA will be on the basis of CAT score, Group discussion/Personal interview. Cutoff percentile and selection criteria in case of tie in CAT score shall be decided by the Institute.

Sponsored candidates will be selected through institute test/interview. Any student seeking admission under this category shall be working on a regular post in any Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Units/AICTE approved Academic Institutes/Research Organizations/Public Limited Company for a minimum of 02 years, after graduation. The application form of such candidates should be dully forwarded by the parent organization sponsoring the candidate & stating that the candidate will be relieved from the organization for pursuing the full time MBA course.

The list of selected candidates will be made available on the institute website. All the candidates are required to visit the institute website regularly for updates. No individual information will be sent.


Reservation : The reservation (SC/ST/OBC/PH) will be as per Govt. of India norms.


Submission of Form : The application forms completed in all respects along with non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 800/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST candidates, should be submitted to Asstt. Registrar (Admission), MANIT, Bhopal-462051, by 25th April, 2012. The payment of processing fee is to be done either through SBI online “I Collect” into MANIT account or through crossed IPO payable to “Director, MANIT, Bhopal”. The application form can be downloaded from MANIT website www.manit.ac.in or can be collected from admission section, MANIT, by paying Rs. 100/- through IPO payable to “Director, MANIT, Bhopal” or through post by sending a self addressed A4 size envelope with IPO of Rs. 100/- payable to “MANIT, Bhopal”. Candidates in their own interest should send their completed application forms by appropriate means well in advance of the due date. Applications reaching us after the due date are liable to be rejected / may not be processed.
Candidates may deposit application fee in SBI or ICICI bank branches through printed e-Challan [printable while filling online form] for filling the online form (this application fee is non-refundable).

Note: Payment by cash at ICICI Bank – there is no extra bank service charge
Payment by cash at SBI Bank - Bank service charge is extra (Rs. 20/-).

ELIGIBILITY:
1) Candidates must have appeared in CAT 2011 / CMAT 2012 and should have valid Score in CAT 2011 / CMAT 2012.

2) Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

3) Candidates with B.Sc. / B.A. / B. Com. qualification must have minimum 50% marks in average (40% for SC/ST) in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared [excluding optional subjects]. Percentage of marks for candidate with Honours degree will be computed on the basis of Honours’ subjects.

4) Candidates of other professional courses including BBA/BCA must have minimum 55% marks in average (40% for SC/ST) in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).

5) Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme in 2012 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 3 or 4 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the programme provisionally. At the time of the counselling they must bring the following:

a) A certificate in original from the Principal of their Institute stating that by
30 June 2012, they will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining their Bachelor’s degree.

b) A certificate in original from the Principal certifying that they have obtained
requisite marks or equivalent based on latest available grades / marks. Marks to be calculated as per item (3 or 4) above.

Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with requisite marks as per item (3 or 4) above. They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31 October 2012. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

6) Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if (a) the programmes are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU, (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated as per item (3 or 4) above. They must enclose photocopies of pass certificate and marksheets of qualifying examination with their application.

Notes:
(1) Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence (http://www.edcil.co.in), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate from the evaluation division of the AIU (website http://www.aiuweb.org ).
(2) In case, any Board / University awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board / University. In case, a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
(3) At any level of the studies [class X, class XII or graduation], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same board/ University.

HOW TO APPLY:
The MBA Information Brochure 2012 covers admissions to the 2-year (4-semester) full-time MBA programme 2012 offered at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and our Extension Centres at Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida. The programme will commence in July 2012.
The provisional selections will be based on:
Ø The total percentile / scores obtained by a candidate in CAT 2011 / CMAT 2012. Please see our separate advertisement / web notification for the same.
Note:
Ø The Institute will not use group discussions or personal interviews in the selection process
Ø However, candidates must meet the minimum academic requirements (see minimum eligibility criteria - Sec 4).

How to Apply: (Please see Instructions also for details)
1. To apply for the MBA programme 2012, eligible candidates must complete and submit the online application form on our website and:
Ø Download the Bank Challan Form (SBI/ICICI) from our website to deposit the application fee for Rs.2,000/- (Rs.1,200/- for SC/ST) in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” in a SBI / ICICI bank and enter the Challan number and other required details of the payment as issued by the bank within the given time period. (Note: Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances)
Ø Send a printout of the completed form along with
two recent colour photographs (one pasted on the form and one attached by clip to the form)
photocopies of all marksheets and certificates (see List of Enclosures)
institute copy of Challan slip issued by the Bank (SBI/ICICI)
in a stout A4 size envelope by Speedpost / reliable courier (means by which sender may track its movement on internet) to the office of Dean Admission & Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi – 835215 positively by the due date. Write “Application for MBA 2012 on top of the envelope”.
2. You can use the Online Application Form to apply for the MBA programme of the Institute at any 1 or any 2 or any 3 or any 4 or all 5 choices of Place for Study (Centre), by clicking the appropriate check box against the names of the Centres. However, you must select ALL your choices before you submit the form online and print the same, so that all your choices will be saved in the database. Please do not make any corrections or add any Choices of Centre by hand on the printout of the form, as these will not be saved to the database.
3. Please do not print a blank form and fill it by hand as this will not be accepted.
4. Incomplete applications or applications received without all required enclosures are liable to be rejected / may not be processed.
5. Applications reaching us after the due date are liable to be rejected / may not be processed.
6. Candidates should keep photocopies of their completed forms for their own reference
7. Although the Institute will use scores in CAT 2011 / CMAT 2012 to shortlist candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Programme in Management, the IIM’s / AICTE have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Notes:
1. Candidates must have appeared in CAT 2011 / CMAT 2012 and fulfill the other eligibility conditions.
2. Candidates should proceed to fill the Online Application Form for admission to the MBA Programme, only after they satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria.
3. Candidates must provide their CAT 2011 / CMAT 2012 details when they fill their application forms.

The Form/ Application numbers on each online application form may be noted and cited in correspondence if required.
Registration Numbers
1. Lists of eligible candidates with registration numbers [different from Form/ Application numbers] will be displayed on the Institute website, whose properly completed application forms with all required enclosures along with Institute copy of Challan slip issued by the Bank (SBI/ICICI) have been received within the stipulated time.
2. Candidates whose names appear in the lists may note their Registration Numbers and should come to attend the Counselling. They are advised to carry a photocopy of their completed application form at the time of Counselling.
3. Candidates must make a note of their registration numbers carefully, as the same will be required at the time of Counselling. No individual intimation will be sent to candidates.
4. Candidates, whose names do not appear in the lists of eligible candidates, may contact the Admissions Office at Mesra by telephone or fax or e-mail.
Sponsored candidates
Few seats in the full-time MBA programme at each Centre may be allotted to “Sponsored Candidates”, from reputed organizations in the Government / Private sector. Such candidates should normally have at least two years of executive / professional experience. They must also submit their applications in prescribed format, along with a letter of sponsorship from their organization. They must also go through the counselling procedures.
Candidates will be called for counselling as per schedules to be notified in due course.
Candidates who appear for counselling must carry a required set of documents to their Counselling Centre: Please see Sec 6 for details.
Candidates may appear for counselling at Mesra or Jaipur or Kolkata or Noida as per their choice given in their online application form.

(A) Admission Process :

a) The applicants will be shortlisted based on CAT 2011 score only. Shortlisted
candidates will be invited to attend the Group Discussion and Personal Interview
at Chennai/Delhi/Hyderabad or Kolkata/Tiruchirapalli centres.

(B) Eligibility :

1) A recognized university degree in any discipline.
2) Candidates appearing for their final year degree examination are also eligible.
3) Candidates should have appeared for the CAT exam 2011.

(C) Application Fees :

1. Rs. 1500 for OC/OBC category (Excluding the bank charges)
2. Rs. 1000 for SC/ST category (Excluding the bank charges)

(D) Instructions for applying.

1) Candidates applying for the MBA Programme of DoMS, NITT need to fill the
application form through Online mode only (www.nitt.edu ).

HOW TO APPLY through online mode:

You can apply online only, after the payment of applications fees through NEFT
mode. Keep the payment of NEFT transaction details before the start of filling up
application

IMPORTANT NOTE: USE MOZILLA FIREFOX OR GOOGLE CHROME only to fill up the online application
1. You will go to the login page and click 'get registered' to register yourself.
2.a. You can fill the form with CAT Registration ID as your login ID. Here you have
to give the same email that you used for your CAT form filling.
2.b. You will give your first name and last name along with the password that you
choose.
2.c. You will click submit and once you are registered you will get a welcome page
and after 7 seconds you will be redirected to the login page.
3. Now you can login there using your CAT Registration ID and chosen password.
After successful login you will find a saying " your payment is not confirmed". This
is just because you have not entered your NEFT payment details or your payment is
not confirmed.


How to make payment?
a. The payment should be made only by NEFT (NATIONAL ELECTRONIC FUND
TRANSFER).

2. How can NEFT be done?
NEFT can be done from any bank to any bank

3. Is bank account is necessary?
Not necessary, you can make it without having a bank account

4. How to make NEFT transfer?
You have to fill the NEFT form the amount can be debited from your bank
account or by paying money but you have to mention your address and
permanent mobile number and an valid e-mail id (mentioning in the
application form ).then you get a transaction id( very important) then you can
fill that in the application form.
*Note if you find any remarks column in your NEFT form please fill it with
MBA2012_CAT ID
(Eg: MBA2012_SRXXXXXXXX)

4. If you have not entered your payment details wait for 7 seconds and you will be
redirected to a page which will have option to enter payment details.
5. You enter your transaction ID, the date of transaction, the amount and accordingly
you will enter your quota and submit.
6. Once you submit you will see a screen thanking you and asking you to wait for 2
working days to get your payment confirmed.


After PAYMENT CONFIRMATION
1. Login using your CAT Registration ID and password.
2. Once you logged inside you will find a screen asking you to update and view
various fields.
3. Now fill the online application form as par the instructions given in the video how to fill up the form. Please watch the videos by clicking

4 Reservation for SC/ST/PC (Physically challenge) and OBC (Non-Creamy)
candidates is as per the Government of India rules.
5 Enter the date, month and year of your birth as per English Calendar and as
recorded in your High School Certificate.
6 Choice of GD/PI centre (Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Tiruchirappalli).Give
two choices in priority wise as par your convenience.
7 Institution has rights to cancel any GD/PI centre at any time with prior intimation.
8) After filling the form correctly, submit the same online. On successful submission
of online registration an auto-generated print version of the Registration Form will
appear. Before taking the print out, save the print version of application form using
SAVE AS function in the FILE menu of the window.
9) After taking the print out, sign in the appropriate space provided for it and send
the form to Dean (Academic) National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-
620015, Tamil Nadu. You must keep an additional copy of the application form for all
future reference.
10) Short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and interview for final
selection.
11) Candidates who apply under OBC (Non creamy Layer) quota will have to submit
the non creamy layer certificate at the time of interview.
12) Candidates who have completed or going to complete their Under Graduation
from a university or a college from Tamil Nadu can fill the state quota as Tamil
Nadu all the others are supposed to fill it up as Other States. (Place of domicile is
not the criteria)

Cooperative Institute of Management and Technology (CIMAT) is located at Monvila, in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city and provides a highly conducive academic environment. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Educational qualification for applying to the program is a pass in BA, BSc, BCom, with 50% marks in aggregate in Part III or a pass in any other degree level examination recognized by University of Kerala with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Applicants desirous of taking admission in the MBA programme of the Institute must have taken the MAT, which is conducted at national level. On the basis of the MAT score, the candidates are shortlisted. Candidates should apply to CIMAT in the prescribed form available in the office of CIMAT or downloaded from the web site of CIMAT (www.cimat.kerala.gov.in ) or from the web site of Kerala State Cooperative Bank (www.keralacobank.com ). Applicants selected will be called for Group Discussion and Interview.They will be offered final admission on the basis of their performance in all these components.

REFUNDS

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Subject to the terms and conditions, the students can avail educational loan and computer loan from any of the branches of Kerala State Cooperative Bank.
