Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research, Tamaka, Kolar, Karnataka will conduct an All India Entrance Test for admissions to Undergraduate Medical course (MBBS) for the Academic year 2012-13 on 22nd April 2012 from 9:00 AM TO 12:00 PM at various centers.

Eligibility criteria:
The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination as under:
The higher secondary examination of the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than core course of English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education OR other qualifications as recognized by Medical Council of India.

The Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination. The last two years of study must include Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. Candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In addition, in the competitive entrance test, the candidate must have secured not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

In respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribes or other Backward Class, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.

Age: The candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Application Procedure:
(i) The Online application form has to be filled up properly and completely through : www.sduu.ac.in
(ii) Take printouts of the filled-in Application form and Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof for Candidate's Copy as well as SDUAHER Copy.
(iii) The application can be submitted in person ( for which acknowledgement has to be obtained) or by post addressed to "The Registrar, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research, Tamaka, Kolar -563101, Karnataka".
(iv) Ensure that the Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.1000/- (One Thousand only) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research, Kolar (payable at KOLAR) is enclosed.
(v) The duly filled application with all documents and complete in all respects should reach the Registrar, (U.G. Admission Cell,) Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research, Tamaka, Kolar -563101 on or before 07.04.2012, 5.00 PM, either by post or in person.

Test Admission Tickets (TAT):
The Test Admission Ticket would be dispatched to the candidate by Speed post at the address mentioned in his/her application form. All Test Admission Tickets will be dispatched by 13.04.2012.

JSS MEDICAL COLLEGE, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagara, Mysore - 570 015, Karnataka has invited applications for admission to MBBS Courses of Academic Year 2012 through JSSU-UGET - 2012 scheduled to be conducted on May 26, 2012 at various centers.

Eligibility:
1) The candidate seeking admission to UG Medical (MBBS) courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2 / PUC II / HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/ HSC examination of any recognized Board / University from any School / Colleges in India / Abroad after 12 years of study. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. Those who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination earlier than March / April 2010 are not eligible to apply.

2) The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (JSSU - UGET-2012).

3) The SC, ST, OBC and CAT - I Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB, further they must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (JSSU - UGET-2012).

4) Age: The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS course. (31.12.2012)

5) Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. PUC-II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent but whose results have not been declared will also be considered to appear for JSSU-UGET-2012, However it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the HSC/10+2/PUC marks card copy is sent to the University specifying the TAT No. (Test Admission Ticket Number) on or before 07.06.2012

The application downloaded should be accompanied by a DD for Rs. 2,000/- drawn in favour of 'JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT, Mysore' payable at Mysore.
Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending application fee of Rs. 200/- only by way of DD favouring 'JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT', MYSORE, payable at Mysore. The duly filled application form should be sent to the University along with documents listed below enclosing DD for Rs. 2,000/- favouring 'JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT', MYSORE, payable at Mysore.

Attested copies of the following documents have to be enclosed along with the application form and kindly arrange the documents in the following order:
1. SSLC / Equivalent examination marks card.
2. PUC / Equivalent examination marks card / Proof of having appeared the PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent examination.
3. Marks cards of BSc / Equivalent examination of all the three years (in case of graduates)
4. Conduct / Character and Transfer certificate issued by the college last studied.
5. Date of birth certificate if not mentioned in the SSLC/Equivalent examination marks card.
6. Caste / community certificate
7. Transfer certificate for Karnataka board candidates.
8. Migration Certificate issued by the Board /University in case of candidates other than Karnataka State education board.

10. Foreign Nationals seeking admission should obtain eligibility certificate issued by JSS University, Mysore.
11. Processing fee of Rs. 2,000/- only by way of DD favouring 'JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT', MYSORE, payable at Mysore. The candidate should write name, address and 'Application for admission to MBBS courses' on the back side of the Demand Draft.

The completed application with requisite documents as detailed above should be enclosed in an envelope super scribed clearly on the outside of the envelope 'APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO UG MBBS COURSES' and sent to the under mentioned so as to reach before 5:00 pm on 07.05.2012, either by speed post, courier or by hand:

1. Should complete the age of 17 years by 31.12.2012 and should not exceed 23 by the said date.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Course

HIHT University has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Course offered by its Medical College (Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences) for 100 seats of the Academic Year 2012-13. Admission to the courses will be based on the Entrance Examination to be conducted on 05.06.2012 (10 AM to 12.30 PM) at the following centers:

ELIGIBILITY:
(1) Age:
Only those candidates, whose date of birth falls on or before 31st December, 1995 (minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2012) are eligible to apply. Only date of birth recorded in the High School / ICSE or its equivalent certificate will be accepted. The Upper Age limit shall be 25 years as on 31.12.2012.

(2) Minimum Qualification:
The candidates must have passed the 10+2, i.e. CBSE / ISC / Intermediate Board Examination or its equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemisty, Biology / Biotehcnology and English from a recognized Board. The Candidates must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 60% (For SC/ST/OBC candidates 50%) marks in aggregate taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnolgy and atleast 50% (For SC / ST / OBC candidates 40%) marks separately in each of the above subjects in the qualifying examination.

The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination and whose results are not yet available, are also eligible to appear in the PMEE-2012 but such candidates should submit the marksheet of the qualifying exmaination on or before 15.06.2012, such candidates shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS course, if they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Applications have been invited from eligible candidates for Common Entrance Test (PIMS-AICET-UG 2012) to be conducted by the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni for selection of students to MBBS and BDS courses run by their Rural Medical Colleges and to be commenced on August 1, 2012.

Entrance examination will be conducted on Saturday, 28th April 2012 from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. in following cities: Ahmedabad, Surat, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu, Hyderabad, Kochi, Indore, Bhopal, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad.

Eligibility & Qualifications:
(i) Candidate must be Indian National and the nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality.

(ii) The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1995 to be eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-UG 2012.

(iii) Candidate must have passed the Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course.

Downloaded application to be submitted with a DD for Rs. 1200/- in the name of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni payable at Pune.

OPTION 2: The prospectus can be purchased from University Admissions office or by writing to "Competent Authority, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni-413736, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra" upon payment of Rs. 500/- (for by post add Rs.200.00 towards postal charges). The DD should be drawn in the name of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni payable at Pune.

Applications have been invited by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi for admission to the MBBS Programme for 2012-13 at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjang Hospital. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College was established at Safdarjang Hospital by the Government of India in November, 2001. The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

All those seeking admission have to appear in the Common Entrance Test, CET: MBBS-2012, which will be conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University . Applicant should be an Indian citizen (Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are not eligible) and should be of 17 years as on 31st December, 2012. Applicant should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of the recognised University/Board of any Indian State with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) and must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually with minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% in case of SC/ST candidates).

Those who have appeared in the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) and expect to pass the examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the CET: MBBS-2012, subject to production of documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks at the time of counselling for admission.

There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basic eligibility of any candidate for admission. For example, if a candidate obtained 49.9% marks in his/her qualifying examination, then it will not be rounded off to 50%.

The cases of candidates who have qualified CET 2012, but have Compartment/ Supplementary in any paper of the qualifying examination degree at any stages, will be considered by the Admission Officer as per University policy and accordingly he shall take final decision regarding grant of admission to such candidates during academic session 2012-13 as per University policy given in the Information Brochure.

A total of 150 seats are expected for 2012-13 at the Institute. There will be four categories of seats (i) All India Region (39 seats) (ii) Delhi Region (79 seats) (iii) All India Quota to be filled through CBSE (22 seats) (iv) Central Pool of Allocation (10 seats).

Under each of the ‘All India Region’ and ‘Delhi Region’ seats, there will be certain subsidized seats and Non-Subsidized seats. The 39 All India Region seats include 30 subsidized seats distributed among General (9), SC (7), ST (5) and OBC (9). There are 9 Non-subsidized seats inn this category which will be open to all categories. Of the 79 Delhi Region seats, 63 are subsidized and 16, non-subsidized. The 63 subsidized seats will be distributed among General (23), SC (12), ST (5) and OBC (23). The 16 non-subsidized seats, will be open to all categories.

One seat for physically handicapped person will be filled on the basis of merit from any region and category. The reservation for the physically handicapped candidates would be as per Medical Council of India Guidelines. Details are available in the Information Brochure.

The location of the school/college from which the candidates have passed the qualifying examination will form the criteria for deciding the region of the candidates. Those who have studied 10+2 (11th and 12th) classes in recognized School/College in Delhi and passed the qualifying examination from any School/College located in Delhi will fall under 'Delhi Region Category'. Those who have passed the qualifying examination (11th & 12th Class) from any School/College located in any part of the country shall fall under 'All India Region Category'. Those who have passed the qualifying examination from any School/College located in Delhi shall be considered for admission under both ‘Delhi Region Category’ as well as ‘All India Region Category’. This consideration shall, however, be on the basis of merit of the candidate.

CET : MBBS-2012: All those seeking admission to MBBS programme at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi for the Academic Session 2012-13 must appear in the Common Entrance Test : CET Code 103 [CET: MBBS-2012], which will be conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector-16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075. There will be two stages of the Common Entrance Test.

The CET: MBBS-2012 (Stage I) will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm on 12.05.2012, at Bangalore (Code 51) ; Bhopal (52), Chandigarh (53), Dehradun (54), Delhi (55), Jaipur (56), Jallandhar (57), Kolkata (58) and Lucknow (59). Candidates can indicate two preferred choices for mcentres in the order of his/her preference in the Application Form.

Those qualifying in Stage I will be allowed to appear in Stage II Entrance Test of MBBS to be held only at Delhi 03.06.2012.

Both the Stages of the Common Entrance Test for MBBS-2012 will be of 3 hours duration and will have one Question Paper in English medium having a total of 200 objective type (multiple choices) with 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked as (1), (2), (3) and (4). Out of these, only one correct or most appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet using a black ball point pen. Each question will carry 3 marks which will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. Incorrect answers will include both the 'wrong answers' as well as 'more than one answer to a question'. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The level of questions will be that of 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science. Syllabi for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) shall be as specified by CBSE for class 11th and 12th under 10+2 scheme for students passing class 12th in 2012.

Based on the result of Common Entrance Test, separate merit lists will be prepared for each category. Names of only those candidates who secure 50% or more marks (40% or more in case of SC / ST candidates) in the Common Entrance Test: CODE 103 [CET: MBBS-2012 (Stage-II)] will be included in the merit lists.

The allotment of subsidized and non-subsidized seats will be made strictly on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the CET: MBBS-2012. The criteria of eligibility and all other conditions will be the same for, both, subsidized and non-subsidized seats. The fee per annum which includes College Tuition fee & Instructional Support & Development Fee will be Rs. 15,000/- for subsidized seats and Rs.1,00,000/- for non-subsidized seats. In addition all admitted candidates will have to pay University charges of Rs.12500/-

Applications are invited for admission to the MBBS course at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, commencing from 01 Aug 2012. Total 130 candidates (including a maximum of 25 girls) will be selected.

Eligibility
Applicants must have passed the XII standard/ pre-professional/ premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/ Board or any other recognized Board/ University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for in FIRST ATTEMPT with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English.

They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard. A graduate of B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany or Zoology) and also must have passed the earlier qualifying examination i.e. XII standard / Pre professional (Med) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained marks as stated above.

NOTE (a) Candidates who are to appear in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) up to 01 May 2012 may also appear for the test provisionally.

(b) The following categories of students are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply:-

(i) Candidates who have passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, Lower Maths separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science, Social studies in High School/Higher Secondary (Multi-Purpose) or equivalent examination

(ii) Candidates who have passed only Pre-University/ Pre-Degree (one year course) or Pre-Professional in Agriculture/ Veterinary/ Dental Examination

(iii) Candidates who have passed the Pre-Professional or other equivalent qualifying examination as PRIVATE CANDIDATES.

AGE LIMIT: Should attain the age of 17 years on 31 December 2012 but must NOT have attained the age of 22 years on the above mentioned date i.e. not born earlier that 01 January 1991 and not later than 31 December 1995, if the academic qualification of the candidate is 10+2 or equivalent. A candidate who has passed B.Sc. examination or will be appearing in final B.Sc. examination and seeks admission must not have attained the age of 24 years on 31 December 2012 i.e. must have not been born earlier than 01 January 1989.

How To Apply
(a) Prospectus and application form for AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2012 will be available ONLY online, from 06 February 2012 onwards.

Candidates will have to login to the website of AFMC www.afmc.nic.in and click on the link AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2012 which will lead to the webpage containing the application process. Candidates should read the instructions/guidelines contained in the webpage carefully before applying.

(b) Candidates applying for AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2012 should have a valid e-mail id which is mandatory. All candidates should register themselves on the website by clicking on the “New Applicant Click here to Register” icon. You will have to fill up the relevant details and register. An e-mail with a temporary password will be generated and sent to the registered e-mail id. On first login a new password will have to be created by the candidate.

(c) Following successful registration, the candidate can now apply for AFMC MBBS Entrance examination – 2012, using his registered e-mail id and the new changed password as LOGIN ID and PASSWORD.

(d) On logging in to the account a unique registration id will be generated. All candidates will write down and keep this number safely since this will be used for all future correspondence. The candidate will have to fill the mandatory fields marked (*) in the application form.

(e) Candidates will also have to download and print the Bank challan form. This form will be printed with the unique registration number. Candidates will have to make the payment of Rs.280/- (Two Hundred and Eighty only (Application fee + Bank charges)) at any State Bank of India branch across the country.

NOTE: This payment can be done ONLY 24 hours after initial registration on the website.

(f) To make the final submission of the form the candidate will have to upload his/her digital photograph and scanned signature. The photograph and scanned signature will be uploaded only in the .jpeg format. All photographs will be of passport size format with the name of candidate and the date of the photograph mentioned at the bottom of the photograph. Any form without a photograph or signature will be rejected. The form can then be submitted;

however the confirmation of submission will be uploaded ONLY when the bank confirms the payment of the application fees by the candidate.

(g) For those candidates who are unable to upload photo and signature, provision for submission of the forms by downloading, printing and sending the forms to AFMC Pune after affixing photograph and signature will be available from 28 Feb 2012 to 05 Mar 2012 ONLY. Candidates who send the forms by this method will have to paste the photograph and sign the application at the relevant place before sending it in the following address:

METHOD OF SELECTION: Candidates will be required to appear in the competitive written test of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Intelligence, logic, Reasoning and English Language and comprehension on 06 May 2012. Allotment of seats at the centres will be on first come first serve basis only.

Candidates selected in the written test, will be called for interview at AFMC Pune in the month of June 2012. No TA/DA would be admissible to the candidates either for written test, interview or at the time of reporting for admission.
