About the Institute :

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences was given a status of Deemed University from 29th September, 2003 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advise of UGC under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide their notification No. F-9-11/2000-U.3.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Common Entrance Test (PIMS-AICET-UG 2012) to be conducted by the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni for selection of students to MBBS{Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery} and BDS{Bachelor of Dental Surgery} course run by the constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences , Lonif

Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to the MBBS Course at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and for the BDS Course at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College for 2012-13. For the M.B.B.S course of 4 ½ years duration, there are 145 seats available. For Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S), which is of 4 Years, duration and 1 year Compulsory Rotatory Internship, there are 35 seats available.

For admission to MBBS/BDS, applicant should have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Aligarh Muslim University or an examination recognised by the University as its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Applicant should not be less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2012.

Selection to the two Programmes will be made through a Combined Admission Test of 3 hours duration, to be held from 10 am on 27.5.2012 at Aligarh, Lucknow, Bhopal, Kolkata, Kozikode, Srinagar and Hyderabad. The test will have one objective type paper of 200 marks comprising 200 questions from Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology. A candidate should secure at least 50% marks in the Admission Test to become eligible for selection.

Application Form can be submitted online or offline. The Test Fee is Rs. 300/-, to be paid by way of Demand Draft (valid for 6 months), drawn in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, payable at Aligarh.

Those applying for M.B.B.S. can also apply for admission to B.D.S. on the same Application Form without paying any additional Admission Test Fee. They should clearly indicate their choices in order of preference in their Application Form. Selected candidates will have to go through medical fitness examination before completing the admission. Details related to the filling up of the form are available in the form itself.

Those submitting online application will be allotted a Transaction ID & password that will be shown to him/her on the screen. The same will also be mailed to the email ID he/she has mentioned in the Application Form. Howsoever, he/she may note it down for his/her convenience. He/she may also open/save the PDF file by clicking the link shown on the screen below the username & password. The candidate is required to send the duly filled in Application Form/printout of the generated PDF File of the online application, along with the prescribed documents, to reach The Deputy Controller (Admission Section), Controller’s Office, AMU, Aligarh-202002, on or before 24.3.2012.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following courses of the academic year 2012-13 at the following constituent colleges of Yenepoya University:

I. YENEPOYA MEDICAL COLLEGE, DERALAKATTE, MANGALORE
MBBS: 4 ½ YEARS PLUS ONE YEAR INTERNSHIP

II. YENEPOYA DENTAL COLLEGE, DERALAKATTE, MANGALORE
BDS: 5 YEARS
Total Seats: 100 (NRI–15, Management–85)

Eligibility for Admission to MBBS & BDS:
*The applicant should have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination in Karnataka or its equivalent examination.
*The candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the academic year of admission.
*The candidate should have studied Physics,Chemistry and BioIogy in the qualifying examination conducted by any recognized Indian Higher Secondary Board or equivalent qualification.
*Candidates who have passed BSc examinations are also eligible for admission subject to the subjects grouping as approved by the University.
*The candidate should have secured not less than 50% aggregate in the Science subjects in the qualifying examination and a pass in English for admission to MBBS and BDS. However, for candidates belonging to scheduied caste and scheduled tribe categories, the minimum aggregate is 40%.
*The candidate should be medically fit.
Other conditions will be laid down by the University from time to time. Admission shall be subject to the approval of Yenepoya University.

The candidate has to submit, in original, the following documents: (a) SSLC Certificate (b) PUC 2 Certificate (c) Transfer Certificate
