M.A. Malayalam Admissions 2012

Applications are invited for admission to M.A.Malyalam course in the Department Of Modern Indian Languages for the session 2012-2013.

Duration: 4 Semesters

Eligibility: B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Provided that a candidate who has not studied Malayalam at the graduate level shall not be allowed to offer the course. Result awaited students can also apply provided that their mark sheet of the qualifying examination should be reached the office on or before June 18th, 2012.

MBBS/BDS Admissions 2012

Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to the MBBS Course at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and for the BDS Course at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College for 2012-13. For the M.B.B.S course of 4 ½ years duration, there are 145 seats available. For Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S), which is of 4 Years, duration and 1 year Compulsory Rotatory Internship, there are 35 seats available.

For admission to MBBS/BDS, applicant should have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Aligarh Muslim University or an examination recognised by the University as its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Applicant should not be less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2012.

Selection to the two Programmes will be made through a Combined Admission Test of 3 hours duration, to be held from 10 am on 27.5.2012 at Aligarh, Lucknow, Bhopal, Kolkata, Kozikode, Srinagar and Hyderabad. The test will have one objective type paper of 200 marks comprising 200 questions from Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology. A candidate should secure at least 50% marks in the Admission Test to become eligible for selection.

Application Form can be submitted online or offline. The Test Fee is Rs. 300/-, to be paid by way of Demand Draft (valid for 6 months), drawn in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, payable at Aligarh.

Those applying for M.B.B.S. can also apply for admission to B.D.S. on the same Application Form without paying any additional Admission Test Fee. They should clearly indicate their choices in order of preference in their Application Form. Selected candidates will have to go through medical fitness examination before completing the admission. Those submitting online application will be allotted a Transaction ID & password that will be shown to him/her on the screen. How To Apply
Application Form for the following Courses can be filled either ONLINE or OFFLINE:

Fill up the ONLINE Application Form by following the instructions given above and also available attached to the Form. Take the Printout of the PDF Generated Application Form on A-4 Size paper of not less than 80 GSM (applying ONLINE) OR

Download the appropriate Application Form from the website meant for the course for which the candidate wishes to apply and get it printed on A-4 size paper of not less than 80 GSM. Fill up the Application Form by following the instructions given above in CAPITAL letters using black ball point pen (applying OFFLINE)

Application Form can be submitted by hand or sent by Registered Post / Speed Post or through Courier so as to reach up to 5:00 PM on or before the last date of receipt to the respective offices as given under each course of study

Candidates must have the Cash receipt/Demand Draft of requisite amount in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, Payable at Aligarh with him as candidates are barred to proceed further without filling up the Test Fee/Processing Charges Column. The Drafts should preferably be from the Nationalized Banks.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Phil (Master of Philosophy) and PhD (Doctorate in Philosophy) programmes in several disciplines, to be offered by different Faculties and Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit, for the year 2012. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the admission test, followed by an Interview, to be conducted by the University.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Admission to MPhil/PhD Course:
(i) A candidate will be eligible for admission to MPhil / PhD program, if he / she has obtained the Master's Degree or its equivalent recognized by the University in a subject relevant to his proposed field of research with not less than 55% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent CPl / CGPA / NAG, and had also obtained the Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent recognized by the University with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent CPI / CGPA / NAG, subject to any further requirements for eligibility that may be laid down by the University from time to time

(ii) A candidate, working in an externally funded research project in the University, who is otherwise eligible, may be permitted for admission to MPhil / PhD program while continuing to work in the project subject to certification by the Principal Investigator of the project that the subject of the project and the proposed MPhil / PhD topic of the candidate overlaps.

Foreign Applicants:
