The Dental Council of India, New Delhi has permitted to offer Post Graduate MDS courses in the following specialties.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - 03 seats
Pediodontics & Preventive Dentistry - 03 seats
Prosthodontics & Crown and Bridge - 02 seats
Endodontics - 03 seats
Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology - 03 seats
Public Health Dentistry - 03 seats.
Orthodontics - 03 seats.
Oral Medicine and Radiology - 03 seats.
Periodontics - 03 seats.

The programs are duly permitted by the Dental Council of India and are affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.


BDS
Navodaya Dental College & Hospital offers five year BDS course duly affiliated by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
Bachelor of Dental Surgery - 05 yrs
Course of Study
The total duration of BDS course is for 5 years. There is no internship



Eligibilty:
A Candidate who has passed the Second year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages and has obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the optional subjects is eligible for admission in to the B.D.S course. In case of candidates belonging to scheduled caste or scheduled tribes and category - I, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be 40% of the aggregate in the optional subjects.
Age:
He/ She shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the B.D.S. Course.

Christian Medical College (CMC), Ludhiana has invited applications for admission to MDS courses of Academic Year 2012.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT:
(1) Academic:
(a) Applicants must have passed the Final Professional BDS Examination of a recognized university and have completed 12 months paid compulsory rotating
internship program (as prescribed and approved by Dental Council of India) by 31st March 2012.
(b) An Indian national studying in Foreign University/ School must produce an eligibility certificate recognizing the qualifying examination as equivalent
to BDS as recognized by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and Dental Council of India. This may be obtained from the Registrar, Baba Farid University
of Health Sciences, Faridkot-151 203 Punjab, and the Secretary, Dental Council of India, Aiwan–E-Galib Marg, Kotla Road, New Delhi 110 002.

(2) Registration:
Applicants must be registered with the State Dental Council /Dental Council of India.

(3) Nationality:
Applicants must be Indian Nationals.

(4) Rotating Internship Program:
An applicant must have completed 12 months paid compulsory rotating internship by 31st March 2012. A certificate to this effect must be submitted along with application form from the Principal of the concerned Dental College.

ADMISSION / APPLICATION:

Prospectus for MDS course and application form etc. are also available for the session 2012-13, till 09.02.2012, from the college cashier counter of the Accounts Department on cash payment of Rs.1,100/- and by post (Registered/Speed post) till 06.02.2012 by sending a crossed bank demand draft for Rs.1200/- made payable to ‘Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society’, payable at Ludhiana drawn on any scheduled bank.

For availing by Post, Applicant should send the draft to the Registrar, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana 141008, Punjab along with a covering letter stating the course for which prospectus and application form are required and mentioning the complete postal address of the applicant including pin code.

Filled-in application forms are to be submitted with a bank demand draft for Rs. 2100/- (Rupees Two Thousand One Hundred Only) drawn in favor of “Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society” on any scheduled bank payable at Ludhiana.

Candidates who are downloading the form from websites www.cmcludhiana.in or www.cmcludhiana.org , must send in the total fee (prospectus and Application fee) of Rs. 3200/- along with the form at time of submission.

Last date of receipt of completed application form along with relevant papers in the Registrar’s Office is 17.02.2012 by 5:00 pm.

Institute of Medical Sciences, Banarus Hindu University, Varanasi has invited applications for admission to MD/MS & MDS courses for the year 2012 to be conducted through All India Entrance Examination on Sunday, 4th March, 2012.

Eligibility: MBBS/BDS (MCI/DCI recognized) with one year rotating internship completed by 30.04.2012.

Application form can be either downloaded from the websites free of cost (www.bhu.ac.in/ www.imsbhu.nic.in ) or can be obtained from the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U. Varanasi-221005 from 20.12.2011 by sending a self addressed unstamped envelope (24 x 30 cm) and a demand draft (MICR only) of Rs. 100 drawn in favour of 'Director, IMS BHU', payable at Varanasi (by post till 16.01.2012 and in person till 24.01.2012).

Envelope for the form-request by post should be marked as 'MD/MS or MDS form-request'.
Duly completed application form (all the four pages including 3 photographs and the applicable application fee must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 24.01.2012.
