Courses and Eligibility :
(i) One-year Postgraduate Diploma in Television, Radio, Newspaper, Magazine, New Media (Online) Journalism :
A Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required. Applicants awaiting final year examination results or who will be graduating this year may also apply.

(ii) One-Year Diploma in Television, Radio, Newspaper, Magazine, New Media Journalism:
Students who have completed or awaiting results for 10+2 / pre-university are eligible to apply.

Admission procedure consists of:

Asian College of Journalism, Chennai has invited applications for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma programme of 2012-2013. Graduates in any discipline and students awaiting their degree examination results are eligible to apply.

Selection is based on an entrance test to be held at various centres in India and abroad in late May 2012 and a personal interview at the college in Chennai in mid June 2012. The academic year begins on July 9, 2012.

Applications can be availed from Registrar, Asian College of Journalism, Second Main Road, Taramani, Chennai-600 113 on request. A demand draft for Rs. 1000/- favouring "Media Development Foundation" payable at Chennai must accompany completed application. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants should have passed their M.B.B.S from an institution recognized by MCI and must have obtained permanent registration. They should have completed / completing their internship by 30th April 2012.

Selection:
Students will be admitted to the first PC Degree/ Diploma Courses based on their performance in the Written Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University on 25-02-2012 at 10.30 AM. The examination will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering the subjects of Basic Sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology and of Clinical Sciences including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Community Medicine, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis and Radio-therapy.

Eligibility for Appearing in JSSU PGET - 2012
a. Qualifications:
Requisite qualifications for admission to Medical / Dental PG Degree and Diploma courses:

The candidate seeking admission to these courses should have passed Final MBBS / Final BDS examinations from a college recognized by Medical Council /Dental Council of India, and should have completed the compulsory rotating internship/would be completing by 30th of April 2012.
As per the regulations of statutory bodies, as laid out in Post-Graduate regulations 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Medical Post-Graduate courses shall be 50 % for all candidates and the eligibility will be 40% for SC, ST, category-I & OBC as per Karnataka state regulation.
Foreign / PIO / NRI students need not appear for JSSU-PGET - 2012. Their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks as per MCI / DCI norms.

Admission Procedure:
1. Submission of the application form for JSSU-PGET - 2012 entrance test by post or in person along with enclosures on or before 06.01.2012 at 5.00 pm.
2. The application should be accompanied by a DD for Rs. 3,000/- drawn in favour of 'JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT' payable at Mysore.
3. The JSSU-PGET - 2012 entrance test will be held on SATURDAY, 04 02.2012 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the examination centers in the following cities: Mysore; Bangalore; Chennai; Noida

Application Procedure:
A candidate desirous of appearing in the JSSU PGET - 2012 entrance test for Post Graduate Medical / Dental Programmes MD/ MS / MDS / PG Diploma Course is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the JSS University in the following ways:

1. Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/10th Certificates/Birth certificate).
2. Marks card - MBBS / BDS - from First to Final year.
3. Attempt Certificate.
4. Internship completion certificate
5. Provisional / Permanent Registration of the Medical / Dental Council of India.
6. Degree Certificate.
7. Six recent, identical passport-size colour photographs with name and date.( In addition one copy of the photo should be pasted on the application form in the space provided)
