NOTE :  (i) Subsequent to this  notification, if any new college(s) or new course(s) or increase in number of seats in the existing courses is / are approved by Govt. of Puducherry and other  Statutory Bodies for admission during the academic year 2012-2013, will be included in the CENTAC-PG, MCA & MBA.

  (ii) Number of government quota seats and participating self financing colleges will be announced at the time of counseling after the receipt of necessary orders from Government of Puducherry.

AGE LIMIT : There is no age limit for MCA and other PG courses.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

(i) MCA : The selection of candidates for admission to MCA programme will be based on the Merit List in CET 2012 prepared by CENTAC-MCA. The number of seats under Puducherry quota is 23 and other states quota is 7. 

(ii) M.Tech. : Out of the total sanctioned intake, 75% of the seats are reserved for candidates from U.T. of Puducherry and 25% of the seats reserved for candidates from other states / UTs, for the PG courses offered in Government / Government sponsored Colleges. Admission to  M.Tech.  programmes will be based only on the GATE score. If enough number of GATE qualified candidates are not available, the lapsed seats will be filled by the Non-GATE candidates based on the performance in an Entrance Test to be conducted by the CENTAC-PG. For self financing courses admission shall be based on merit in the Entrance Test conducted by CENTAC–PG.   

(iii) M.Phil. and M.Sc. : Admission to M.Phil. and M.Sc. programmes will made based on the performance in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the CENTAC-PG.

(iv) MBA : The selection of candidates for admission to MBA programme will be based on the Merit List in MBA-ET - 2012 prepared by CENTAC-MBA. The number of government quota seats in the private self financing colleges will be announced at the time of counselling as per the directions of Government of Puducherry. Only the Residents of Puducherry are eligible to apply for admission to MBA.

ENTRANCE TEST-2012: The entrance test for PG programmes, CET-2012 and MBA-ET 2012 will be conducted only in Pondicherry Engineering College as scheduled bellow. 

      For M.Tech. , M.Phil. and M.Sc.  : 28th July 2012 (FN & AN) & 29th July 2012 (FN & AN).

      For MCA : 29th July 2012 between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon.

      For MBA : 4th  August 2012 between 10.00 p.m. and 12.00 noon.

Eligibility :
Students must have completed and passed 10+2 examination under CBSE/ISC/State Board syllabus with physics, chemistry, biology (botany and zoology) and English. Candidates who are applying for admission under the NRI/sponsorship/ foreign student category should have successfully completed equivalent qualification prescribed for the local candidates for consideration for admission to MBBS course and the qualification should be recognized by the Pondicherry University.

NRI / Foreign students must have completed the 12th grade and secured a pass before the admission. A grade point average of 3 (on a scale of 1-4) or above that in the course subjects of biology, physics, chemistry are preferred. Wherever all subjects grades like A, B-, C+ are used by the schools, appropriate equivalents in terms of percentage like 90%, 75% and 60% should be made available. Only students from high schools accredited by the respective state or the country is eligible for admission and the statement to this effect must be produced.

Applicants from Cambridge University should possess a GEC advance level (A levels) in physics, chemistry and biology and pass in AS level in English course. 86-93 in class XII examinations.

Age:
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31.12.2010. No upper age limit is prescribed.

Candidate should have qualified with the degree of Basic B. Sc. (Nursing)/ P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent there to by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) in B.Sc (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc (Nursing) course of minimum duration of 4 years / 2 years respectively of course study in the Indian Nursing Council recognized institution. The candidates should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of any State Nursing Council with one year experience after graduation as on 31st July 2011.
