Applications have been invited from the candidates of Tamil Nadu for admission to the following Undergraduate Degree Courses of the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University for the academic year 2015-2016.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
1. Qualifying Examination and Minimum Marks Candidates who are applying for B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.F.Sc./ B.Tech. (Food Processing Technology)/ B.Tech. (Poultry Production Technology) degree courses should have passed HSC (10+2) / CBSE / other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with the marks as prescribed below:

(a) For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. degree course:
(i) ACADEMIC STREAM
(In the Order of Subjects studied in HSC/ equivalent course Eligible minimum marks (%) OC BC MBC/DNC SC/ST)
1. Biology (or) Zoology and Botany                           60           60           55           Pass
2. Chemistry and Physics taken together                               60           60           55           Pass
3. Aggregate of (1) and (2) should not be less than           70           65           60           Pass

(ii) VOCATIONAL STREAM
(In the Order of Subjects studied in HSC/ equivalent course Eligible minimum marks (%) OC BC MBC/DNC SC/ST)

Vocational stream candidates will be considered in B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. degree courses only against the seats reserved for them.

The maximum number of attempts made in passing the qualifying examination is limited to three for SC/ST candidates and two for others.
The improvement marks in HSC Examination of any year will not be considered for admission.

2. Age Limit
Candidates should not have completed the age indicated below as on 01.07.2015.
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC / ST) : No age limit
Others : 21 Years
No relaxation of age limit is permissible on any grounds.
 Candidates should attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2015

II. MODE OF SELECTION
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the HSC/equivalent examination as per the Government Orders.

III. APPLICATION FORMS
 Candidates may fill in and submit applications online at www.tanuvas.ac.in/ugadmission, on or before 04.06.2015, 5.45 p.m.
 Applications can be submitted online only after the application fees are paid. Payment can be made in any of the three ways: (a) Debit cards, b) Credit cards or (c) through Internet Banking, in the Union Bank of India payment gateway.
Candidates should ensure that correct amount of application fee is paid as detailed below, before submitting / uploading the application:

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai has invited applications for registration to National Training on Biosecurity in Livestock and Poultry Health to be conducted from 19th December 2011 to 1st January 2012.

Venue:
Central University Laboratory, Centre for Animal Health Studies, TANUVAS, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai - 600 051.

Eligibility
Scientists working in SAU / ICAR institutes not below the rank of Assistant Professors, Veterinarians from disease diagnostic laboratories, farm related services and those directly involved in animal health and animal trade. Sixteen eligible participants will be selected on first cum basis, including the internal candidates.
