ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION INTO
M.Sc. (APPLIED NUTRITION)
ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited from eligible candidates
for admission into 1st year M.Sc (Applied Nutrition) Course at the National
Institute of Nutrition (NIN) affiliated to Dr NTR University of Health Sciences
(Dr NTRUHS), Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2014-15.
Eligibility:
Candidates for admission to M.Sc. (Applied Nutrition) Course should have passed
in any of the following examinations of the University of Andhra Pradesh or any
other University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as
equivalent thereto
Qualifications:
MBBS; B.Sc. (Nutrition); B.Sc. (Home Science); B.Sc. (with Biochemistry or
Nutrition as one of the major subjects); B.Sc. Nursing
Seats: The total number of seats is 16
Out of the 16 seats available, 6 seats are reserved
for Andhra Pradesh (state quota) and 10 seats are reserved for the applicants
outside Andhra Pradesh (central quota)
The distribution of the seats in Master of Science
(Applied Nutrition) course will be displayed in the Websites of NIN (
www.ninindia.org) and Dr NTR UHS (
http://ntruhs.ap.nic.in) two days before the date of counseling
Application
Form: Application forms along with the prospectus can be obtained from the
Head of the Department, Extension and Training Division, National Institute of
Nutrition, Jamai-Osmania PO, Hyderabad- 500007 or can be downloaded from the
website
www.ninindia.org , or
www.ntruhs.ap.nic.in
The applications will be available from 10 am of
20.06.2014 to 5 pm of 12.07.2014.
LAST DATE
FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM: The duly filled in applications, along
with a DD for Rs 1250/- (for SC/ST candidates) & Rs.1500/- (all others) towards
Registration fee from any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of The Director,
NIN payable at Hyderabad and necessary encloses specifying the quota (State or
Central) should be submitted to The HoD, Extension and Training Division,
National Institute of Nutrition, Jamai-Osmania PO, Hyderabad50007 on or before 13th
July 2014 by 5pm. Further applications from out side the state shall
have to pay Degree of verification Fee of Rs.1000/- in the form of DD in favour
of “Registrar Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences payable at Vijayawasa” as
per Rule 6.6 of prospectus of 2014-2015 (at the time of counseling)
Documents to be enclosed with application form
1. Original DD for Rs. 1500/- (for OC/OBC/BC) &
Rs. 1250/- (for SC/ST) towards registration fee
2. Clear and legibly typed and attested by Gazetted
Officer or clearly visible attested photocopies of all marks statements from
first to final year of qualifying exam.
3. Attested copy of the Internship Certificate
mentioning date of commencement and completion of Internship wherever
applicable.
4. Attested copy of Provisional or Original Degree
Certificate of qualifying exam.
5. Attested copies of Study Certificates from Class
IX to qualifying examination.
6. Attested copy of X class or equivalent certificate
as proof of age
7. If the applicant has not studied qualifying
examination in the state, he/she shall submit following certificates as per
regulation 5.2 to 5.6 whichever is applicable to the applicant (refer
Prospectus).
(a) 10 Years
Residence Certificate of the candidate in the State of A.P. (OR)
(b) 10 Years
Residence Certificate of either of the Parents/Spouse (Certificate of
relationship also shall be enclosed)
8. Social Status (Caste) Certificate.
9. Candidates claiming eligibility as Local/Non-Local
should furnish relevant certificates in support of their claim.
10.Candidates who have studied in the state of
Andhra Pradesh.
a) If the
candidate has studied in any educational institution, study/ bonafide
certificate from IX to degree (Govt. ZPH/Private School or College) shall be
submitted.
b) A
candidate who has studied in 2 or more institutions in various places in Andhra
Pradesh, study bonafide certificate from IX to degree (Govt. /ZPH/Private
School or College) in those places shall be submitted.
c) A
candidate who has not studied a class in any school/institution, a residence
certificate for that period only shall be submitted.
d) Candidate
who have not studied in any school/ college in the state of A.P., but resided
in Andhra Pradesh with private study in Andhra Pradesh seven years residence
certificate mentioning the period of residence preceding the qualifying
examination (6th to Inter) by the candidate claiming eligibility as a local by
virtue of residence shall be submitted
11. Candidate who have studied in the in situations
outside the State of Andhra Pradesh have to submit 10 years residence
certificate of the either of the parents issued by MRO to claim seats under
unreserved category
LIST OF ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES AND ENTRANCE TEST: The
list of eligible candidates to appear to the test will be uploaded on NIN’S
WEBSITE (
WWW.NININDIA.ORG) on 18-07-2014.
The candidates should collect their hall tickets in person on 08-08-2014 from HoD,
Extension and Training Division, National Institute of Nutrition, Jamai-Osmania
PO, Hyderabad50007 and on 09-08—2014 at NTR University Health Sciences
Vijyawada (Contact No. 9848755981/ 9848956136) The Entrance Test will be
conducted at Vijayawada-520008 on 10-08-2014 (Sunday) from 11 am to 12.30 pm.
Results of Entrance Test will be uploaded on the website on 28-08—2014. 1

counseling will be held at NIN ON 25-08-2014.
