d) Post Basic B.Sc.(IGNOU) only from Centers recognized by the Indian Nursing Council

REGISTRATION :

Must be a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife recognized by Nursing Council of India. Candidate who is not Registered Midwife must have short course certificate recognized by INC.

EXPERIENCE :

Minimum one year work experience in Bed side Nursing / Public Health nursing / Teaching after declaration of Final result of B.Sc. Nursing or prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing before 26.08.2014

Eligibility Criteria for M.Phil. / Ph.D. Admissions

A) A candidate may be permitted to carry on M.Phil./ Ph.D. (full-time/ part-time) course when he/she satisfies the following criteria:

(i) Candidates with P.G. degree of this University or recognized as equivalent thereto shall have a minimum of 55% marks in the concerned subject of PG. However, a concession of 5% marks is allowed to SC/ST candidates.

vi) Lecturers in Physical Education / Physical Directors working in Colleges / Junior Colleges with 2 years of experience as Permanent employee / 5 years of experience as Temporary / adhoc employee.

vii) Teachers with PG Degree working in Engineering Colleges with 2 years of teaching experience as Permanent employee / 5 years of teaching experience as Temporary / adhoc employee.

x) An Executive with a minimum of 10 years of service in Commercial Banks, Industries, Financial Institutions,

Reputed Service Organizations, Central / State government Gazette and Non-Gazetted Officers. These Executives shall qualify for admission to Ph.D. (Part-time) programme by passing DURCET or by having at least two research papers in reputed research journals and shall qualify all other requirements as prescribed for registration into Ph.D. programme.

Admission:

Admission to M.Phil./ Ph.D. courses is based on the rank at the Entrance Test (DURCET-2014), in addition to all other criteria laid down in the Prospectus.

Candidates who have qualified GATE/UGC NET/ SLET/ CSIR Examination are exempted from DURCET-2014

Engineering Streams

Admission Procedure:

Applicants fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria, shall be required to take Indus University Research Aptitude Test (IURAT) and appear for a personal interview (PI).

The research aptitude test shall comprise of two sections .One section on general reasoning, and the other on respective streams.  The test paper will have multiple-choice type questions. Duration of the test will be ONE hour.

During the personal interview, the candidate shall have to make a presentation for about 10 minutes on the main theme of the proposed research, which will be followed by an interview by the panel. The DRC shall test the potential of the applicant for conducting research work.

Based on the academic / research / industrial record and the performance of the applicant in IURAT  & PI , the ARC/ DRC  shall recommend to the Dean ( Research)/ Executive President (Vice Chancellor) the names of the suitable candidates.

Successful candidates will be informed of their selection through their email ID within two weeks from the date of IURAT & PI.
