K.R.Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science & Arts is an innovative venture in professional film / audio-visual training and a research centre of international standards established by the Government of Kerala at Thekkumthala in Kottayam District of Kerala.

The Institute announces admissions to the Second batch of programmes – 2015. Applications are invited for admission to the Three Year Full-Time Diploma Programmes in:

1. Script Writing and Direction

2. Editing

3. Cinematography

4. Audiography

5. Animation and Visual Effects

6. Acting

The total number of seats will be 60 (10 each for all the six programmes).

Eligibility for Admission

The candidates should have passed the Plus Two course (Higher Secondary) or equivalent. Those who have appeared for the final examination of the Plus Two course and awaiting results can also apply subject to production of the certificate or mark sheet of the qualifying examination at the time of admission. The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st June, 2015.

Selection of Candidates

The eligible candidates have to undergo a two stage screening- a preliminary Entrance Examination conducted at all India level followed by an Orientation Programme-cum-Interview for the shortlisted candidates.

The entrance examination Centres will be at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi.

Application Fee

The application fee for candidates belonging to ‘General’ categories is Rs.1500/- and to those belonging to SC/ST categories is Rs. 750/-.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Puducherry invites eligible candidates for appearing in JIPMER Entrance Exam 2015 to get admission to various UG and PG courses. Applicable contenders may fill the JIPMER Application Form 2015 before the closing date.

JIPMER is an entrance exam conducted at national level at different centers every year for admission to post graduate Programmes and Graduate Programme.

Eligibility Criteria:

Aspirants who want to take admission for under graduate courses must possess Intermediate Exam/ 10+2 class in relevant subjects from the recognized board or equivalent.

Applicants must have qualified MBBS degree or equivalent accepted by the Medical Council of India with one year internship training completed by 31st March 2014 for admission to Post Graduate courses.

Application Fee:

For General / OBC / OCI / NRI / Sponsored Candidates Fee is:  Rs.1000/- only.

For ST / SC / OPH Candidates fee is: Rs.800/- only

BIOTECH INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME (BITP) 2015-16

On behalf of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) is implementing since 1993-94, a scheme of practical industrial training for M.Sc./M.Tech./B.E./B.Tech. Biotechnology students. The objective of this progamme is to provide industry-specific training to Biotech students for skill development and enhancing their job opportunities in biotech industry. This programme provides an opportunity to Biotech Industry for training and selecting suitable manpower. The training period is for six months during which a trainee is paid stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month and trainer company is paid a bench fee to cover the expenses for providing training. The next batch of training will commence in September – October.

Format for the Project Report

BITP is a programme of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, managed by Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL). The objective of BITP is to provide practical industrial exposure for six months to students to improve job prospects and to help biotech industry to identify prospective manpower. During the training stipend @ Rs.10000/- per month is paid to trainees and bench fee is paid to companies to cover expenses towards training. DBT invites applications from the biotech students and requisitions from the biotech companies.

B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech./M.V.Sc. in Biotechnology from an Indian recognized university with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade completed in the year 2014 or 2015 are eligible to apply. a)  A demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of “Biotech Consortium India Limited, New Delhi” towards non-refundable application fee. Please write your application id, name, date of birth and mobile no. on the reverse side of the demand draft.

b)  Hard copy of the system generated acknowledgement of the application form submitted online.

c)  Self Attested copies of final marksheets of qualifying examination showing cumulative percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA.. For students appearing for the final year examination in 2015, filled and signed certificate from the Head of the Department on college/ university letter head in the format available on our website.

THREE YEAR DIPLOMA COURSE IN DRAMATIC ARTS (2015-2016)

National School of Drama, is an autonomous institution, under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, invites application for admission to three-year full-time (residential) Diploma Course in Dramatic Arts of Academic Year 2015-18. The course starts from July 2015 and aims at training students to become professionals in the area of acting, direction, design and other theatre related disciplines.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

Essential Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for admission are:

Graduation in any subject from a recognized university in India.

Working Knowledge in Hindi and English

Active participation in at least 6 plays or any other field related to theatre.

Age:

The course is open to all men and women between the ages of 20 to 30 years, AS ON 1.7.2015.

The upper age limit is relaxed by five years for candidates belonging to the SC / ST  categories only.

RESERVATION FOR SC/ST/OBC/PHYSICALLY DISABLED PERSONS: Out of 26 seats, 4 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes; 1+1 seat is RESERVED for scheduled tribes including N.T. 7 SEATS ARE reserved OBC (except Creamy Layer as notified by the Government) and physically disabled persons, as per Govt. of India rules.

FINANCIALASSISTANCE: All selected students will be given scholarship of Rs. 6000/- p.m. to meet their academic and other expenses.

PHYSICAL FITNESS: The students selected for admission will have to undergo a medical test for physical fitness at NSD, New Delhi. Their final selection is subject to clearance of the fitness test
