Applications are invited for admission to Bachelor of Theatre Arts (BTA) at School of Drama & Fine Arts, Dr.John Matthai Centre, Aranattukara,Thrissur for the academic year 2014-2015.

Eligibility for admission

Pass in Plus two or in any other examination recognized by the University of Calicut as equivalent thereto with an aptitude to Theatre Practices. Admission to BTA Course will be on the basis of performance in 3 day workshop conducted by the Department.

Conditions and Guidelines:-

 Applications are to be submitted on line from 09.06.2014 to 28.06.2014, 5 P.M

through Calicut University website “ www.universityofcalicut.info ” 1. Signed print out of application bearing Passport size Photograph attested by the Gazetted Officer along with (i) the original chalan receipt for having remitted the fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates on the basis of valid community certificate issued by the competent authority) to Calicut University Funds at Calicut University Fee Counter/Calicut University Janasevanakendra/Akshaya Centres/through SBT e-payment/online Banking (SBT) (ii) attested copies of certificates as proof of qualifications, age and community should be forwarded to the Chief Co Ordinator, CCSIT Centre, Calicut University Campus, University of Calicut, P.O calicut University-673635. so as to reach on or before 5 P.M on 30.06.2014.

2. The online Registration I.D.No. should be written by the candidate on reverse side of the chalan receipt/DD as the case may be. This I.D.No should also be mentioned by the candidate in all future communications.

3. Those who are awaiting the results of the qualifying examination can also apply. They have to submit the copies of Marklist to Chief Co Ordinator, CCSIT Centre, Calicut University Campus, University of Calicut, P.O, Calicut University within 6 days of the publication of Calicut University/Government Examination Results in order to finalise the Rank list with in the stipulated time.

4. The Chief Co-Ordinator, CCSIT Centre, Calicut University Campus is authorized to conduct Entrance Examination and admission as per rules and allot students to the Centres.

The Chief Co-ordinator will forward a copy of the Rank list as well as the list of students allotted to various centres to the Directorate of Admission, Tagore Niketan, University of Calicut. (Also please see the appendix, page-3)

The eligibility of courses under the category of MBA/ MCA/ M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch are given below.

(1) M.B.A. Degree Programme:

A pass in a recognised Bachelor?s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

(a) 10 + 2 + 3 years pattern

(or)

(b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern

(or)

(c) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm

(or)

(d) AMIE with 2 years regular full time Teaching experience / Industrial experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidates.

(a) 10+2+AMIE

(b) 10+3 Years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) +AMIE

(2) M.C.A.Degree Programme:

A pass in a recognised Bachelor?s degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained atleast 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved catagory) in the qualifying degree examination.

M.C.A Lateral Entry:

A pass in a recongnised Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained atleast 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

(3) M.E., /. M.Tech., / M.Arch., Degree Programme:

a. A pass in a recognised Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained atleast 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

(i) B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. degree programme

(ii) B.Pharm / B.Sc.(Agri. / Forestry / Horticulture / Fishery) degree programme

(iii) Master?s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed.

b. Candidates with section ?A? & ?B? certificates and other similar certificates of professional bodies or societies (e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India are considered to be equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Degree

holders only with 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidates.

i)  The candidates must be Indian National.

Examination / Any other equivalent Examination each under (10+2) system of studies in 2014 (or not earlier than 2011), as the case may be, with English as one of the combination subjects. Science candidates securing minimum 45% marks in total in (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry & Bio-Science / Mathematics are only eligible to apply.

vi) Arts / Science / Commerce graduates passing the respective degree examination (not earlier than 2011) may also apply for being considered against very limited number of seat(s).

i) Prescribed Application Forms will be available on till 19th June, 2014 from Rajbati Sales Counter, Burdwan University on all working days (Mon - Fri) 11a.m. to 2p.m. and also from the colleges / institutions where the courses are taught on payment of Rs.300/- only

ii) Forms will also be available from website : www.buruniv.ac.in. In that case, a demand draft for Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan, P.O. Rajbati, Dist. Burdwan is to be submitted along with the Application Form.

iii) The last date of submission of duly filled in application form is 19th June, 2014 (Thursday).

iv) Application form should be filled in and signed by the candidate in English only.

v) The filled in application form is to be submitted at the office of the Inspector of Colleges, Rajbati, Burdwan or at the College / Institution wherefrom the forms of the said course(s) were obtained.

M.Pharm:

A candidate who has passed the B. Pharm degree examination from Kerala University of Health Sciences or an examination equivalent to of any other universities recognized by Kerala University of Health Sciences with not less than a total of 50% marks for the B.Pharm degree examination shall be eligible for admission to M. Pharm degree course. The candidate should have undergone B. Pharm degree course in an institution approved by AICTE and PCI.

Pharm.D. (PB):

A candidate who has passed the B.Pharm degree examination of KERALA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES or an examination equivalent thereto of any other University recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences with not less than a total of 50% Marks for B.Pharm Degree examination shall be eligible for admission to Pharm.D. (PB) course.

The candidate should have undergone B.Pharm in an institution approved by AICTE and the PCI. Candidates who have passed their B.Pharm course from Universities outside Kerala will be eligible for admission only if their qualifying examination is recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences, on the date of application/allotment. The candidate shall fulfill eligibility before last date of application.

Nationality:

Candidates must be citizens of India.

HOW TO APPLY

Application Forms:

The Application form together with the information brochure, can be obtained from any of the member colleges of the association, offering M.Pharm and Pharm.D. (PB) Course, on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for each course, by cash or by sending Rs.550/- (Rupees Five hundred and Fifty only) by way of DD favoring KSSPCMA, payable at Chalakudy and to such candidates application form and prospectus will be sent by post. Request for application form by post should reach the office of the Controller of Selection and Admissions at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Poonthavanam (PO), Kizhattur, Perintalmanna, Malappuram Dt, latest by the 5PM of 30/06/2014.

A candidate needs to buy separate application forms for M.Pharm and Pharm.D. (PB) course and he/she can submit his/her preferential options in the format provided.
