Alagappa University, Karaikudy, Tamil Nadu has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor of Vocation degree in two streams during Academic Year 2014-15:

a) Arts

 FASHION TECHNOLOGY

b) Science

 SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Eligibility:

i) For Admission: A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic / Vocations Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto (like PUC) by the Syndicate, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed therefore.

 Provided that the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with Science group shall be considered for 1/2 of seats in B.Voc (Software Development) and 1/2 of seats for other subject students.

Application Form

 The cost of Prospectus and Application Form for admission is Rs.100/-

 The Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained from the Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi by submitting a crossed Demand Draft obtained from any Nationalized Bank for Rs.100/- ( Rs. 50/ for the SC/ST students) drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Alagappa University” payable at Karaikudi.

 Applications can be had in person or through post. For postal mode, the requisition Letter and course of study with applicable demand draft must be accompanied.

 Candidates can also download the application form and other details from the website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in  and submit the filled in application with prescribed fee of Rs.100/- in the form of D.D. Filled in Application forms should be sent to The Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi -630 003.

The filled-in Application form should be sent to The Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi-630 003 during the office hours 10 a.m – 5.45 p.m by post on in person.

Applications have been invited by Bharathidasan University, Palkalaiperur Campus, Tiruchirappalli for Admission to M.Ed Distance course for the candidates who have passed B.Ed with 50% of marks from any recognized University.

Teachers/ Educational officers presently working in any Government/Government recognized school within Tamil Nadu with at least two years of Teaching experience after completion of B.Ed. are eligible for admission to this programme.

Name and address of the candidate should be clearly indicated on the reverse side of the D.D.

Bharathiar University and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) (Set up under an Act of Parliament) New Delhi have signed a memorandum of understanding to offer B.B.A., B.Com., M.Com., and MBA Degree courses commencing from the academic year 2014-15.

Eligibility conditions for the admission into Under Graduate Programme (BBA/B.Com.)

    A pass at the entry level examination of Chartered Accountancy course of ICAI (or)

    A pass in the Intermediate stage of Chartered Accountancy course of ICAI.

Eligibility conditions for the admission into post graduate programme (M.Com./MBA)

    A graduate from a recognized university or a pass in the Final of ICAI (or)

    A successful completion of BBA/B.Com., through ICAI offered by Bharathiar University.

M.Sc Geoinformatics (Private study) Admission Notice 2014

Department of Geography, University of Madras has invited applications for admission to Two-Year M.Sc Geoinformatics (Private study) course of Academic Year 2014-15.

Eligibility:

A Candidate who has passed BA/BSc Degree Examination with Geography / Geology /Physics/ Environmental Sciences / Computer Science / Computer Applications/Information Technology/ Agriculture/Remote Sensing as the main subject of study or Geography as one of the subjects of study with knowledge of mathematics / statistics at least at the +2 level or BE Civil Engineering or any Information Technology related fields or an examination of any other University accepted by the syndicate as equivalent thereto. Candidates with degrees in other subject areas will be considered if they can demonstrate interest, aptitude and experience in a field relevant to the application of geospatial technology.

Fee Structure:

Course Fee for Indian students is Rs.50, 000/- (Fifty thousand only) for two years. Fees should be paid at the time of admission. For Foreign Students / NRI: US $ 2,000 (Two Thousand only). Payment shall be made in two instalments (First year: 50%, Second year: 50%).
