Eligibility:

A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must possess a degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) duly recognized by the Dental Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration from any of the state dental councils of India. Candidate not possessing a recognized dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval regarding qualification by the Dental Council of India before he/she can be admitted to the MDS course. The candidate for admission to MDS course should have completed his / her CRI (Compulsory Rotatory Internship) on or before 31st April 2015.

Admission Procedure:

The admission for MDS degree course is based on merit depending on the performance of the candidate. Prospective students should have appeared for the All-india UNi-Gauge® entrance examination to be eligible for admission into MDS at Saveetha University.

The candidate should apply to Saveetha University with UNi-Gauge® score

Based on the cumulative exam score, candidates will be invited for counselling and offered admission.

CAT Aptitude Test:

The students should present an abstract essay or prepare a video presentation that will be evaluated, by an external committee for their aptitude and the suitability for their program of choice.

Counseling:

The call letter for counseling will be sent individually to the eligible candidates. The selected candidates should appear for counseling on the said date and time. The counseling will be held on 05.03.2015 in Saveetha Dental College, 162, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai - 600 077.

Application for the Entrance Examination:

Applications can be obtained on payment of Rs. 1000 by cash (or) D.D. taken in favor of 'Saveetha University', payable at Chennai in person, (or) Rs.1050 by Post.

Applications can also be downloaded from the Website www.saveetha.com and the completed applications forms should be accompanied by DD for Rs.1000/- taken in favor of Saveetha University, payable at Chennai.

They are required to appear in the interview.

The date for conduct of Entrance Test in the concerned Faculty shall be notified separately. The Entrance Test shall comprise subjective and objective type questions set from the syllabi prescribed by each Department/Centre which can also be downloaded from the official website of the University. Further, the admission shall be subject to the availability of seats in the concerned Departments/Centre of the Faculty. The candidates whose results of the qualifying examination is still awaited are also eligible to submit application/s form, subject to the condition that he/she shall furnish his/her affidavit duly attested by the 1st class Magistrate to the effect that he/she is submitting application form on his/her responsibility and shall have no claim for appearing in the Entrance Test if his/her result of the qualifying examination is not declared till date of the conduct of the test.

The candidates having qualified (a) National level Examination like, NET (CSIR, UGC), DET, DBT (Govt. of India) ICMR and have earned JRF fellowship; (b) University/College Teachers with three years service on substantive basis or with JRF and 2-years service on substantive basis shall be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test, but are required to apply alongwith the other candidates within the stipulated time. In case the number of applicants under category (a) is equal to or more than seats available in a particular Dept., no entrance examination shall be conducted in that Dept. and the selection shall be made by the DRC amongst the eligible candidates.

The candidates whose M.Phil result has been declared or yet to be declared by the University of Kashmir are also eligible for the Ph. D programme without appearing in the Entrance Test and their Ph. D registration shall be governed by the 2010 statutes. Further, the candidates with the M.Phil degrees from other UGC recognized universities/Educational Institutions are also eligible to apply. However, they shall have to appear and qualify the Entrance Test with, at least, 60% marks and their Ph. D programme shall also be governed by the 2010 statutes.

Applications have been invited by Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD) for admission to the following courses of Year 2015:

UG  :   B.Sc. (Fashion & Apparel Design)     -           Affiliated with Bangalore University

PG  :   Master in Fashion and Apparel Design (MFAD)        -           Recognised by University of Mysore

ELIGIBILITY:

Educational Qualifications.

(a) UG Course.

The applicant must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any combination with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks from a board recognized by UGC/University. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination as a regular candidate are only eligible for admission to B.Sc. (FAD) as per Bangalore University norms. Candidates who have passed through distance education system or privately through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are not eligible.

(b) PG Course

Any graduate with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks recognized by Indian Universities or Equivalent or UGC/AICTE.

Candidates should also meet the following criteria:

(a) The applicants must fall into one of the following categories:-

(i) Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army (Submit Certificate No 1).

(ii) Children of ex Army personnel granted / awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board / invalided medical board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pension. (Submit Certificate No 1).

(b) Adopted / Step Children and Children of Remarried Widows :-

(i) Adopted child of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission. (Submit Certificate No 2).

(ii) Step children are eligible provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army who is otherwise eligible. (Submit Certificate No 2).

(c) Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases:

(i) Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Ex Army Medical Corps Officers / Army Dental Corps Officers Presently Serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force (IN /IAF). Wards of only those ex Army medical officers / Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for 10 years (Submit Certificate No 3).

(ii) Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS / MNS / TA Personnel (Submit Certificate No 3).

(aa) Children of APS personnel classified as ex-servicemen as per Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 9 (52)/88/D (Res) dated 19 Jul 89.

(ab) Children of those APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the Army.

(ac) Children of APS personnel, who are directly recruited into APS who have completed 10 years of service and of those who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army.

(ad) Children of only those members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of pension from the Army.

(ae) Children of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

Joining Instructions for UG & PG :

UG admission:

The result of the WAT published on 04 May 2015 will be put up on the AIFD website www.aifdonline.in. The result will also be displayed by college at AIFD Bangalore, on the notice board. Candidates declared to have passed WAT will also be individually informed by AIFD Bangalore to that effect. The short listed students will be required to pay the Course registration fee of Rs.10,000/- & Rs 5000/- for hostel through a Crossed Demand Draft in favour of ?Army Institute of Fashion & Design? payable at Bangalore on or before 20 May 2015.

After the receipt of registration fee from the willing candidates, final list of UG admission will be announced in the Institute web site on 25 May 2015.

PG admission :

The PG candidates have to appear for the CAT and interview on 23 June 2015 at AIFD, Bangalore. The candidates recommended for admission to the PG Course at AIFD, Bangalore will be informed through web site on 04 Jul 2015 and they will be required to pay Rs.10,000/- as Registration Fee for college & Rs 5000/- for Hostel through a Crossed Demand Draft in favour of Army Institute of Fashion & Design payable at Bangalore on or before 15 Jul 2015.

Prospectus with application form is also available on payment of demand draft of Rs 500/- at the Institute, Army Headquarters (AWES) and all the Command Headquarters (AWES).

The STP programme itself has been designed with focus on developing strong problem-solving, programming and software development skills to culminate in a Post-Graduate Diploma in Software Development (PGDSD) of IIITB.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Computer Science or information technology or Electronics and Communication engineering or information systems or similar disciplines at least 60% marks in every semester of the undergraduate study from any of the recognized universities in India. The year of graduation cannot be earlier than 2013.

    

Applicants must also have secured at least 60% in Class X and Class XII examinations in school.

Applicants should not have more than two fail grade during the entire course.

Applicants must provide documented proof of hailing from socially disadvantaged section of society (SC/ST and OBC) or economically weaker section of society ( irrespective of the caste or religion they belong to) as indicated by parents’ annual income (gross annual income of parents not higher than Rs. 2.5  lakhs).

Admissions Process

Applicants are required to apply online at http://radixlearning.com/stp. The last date for submitting complete application form and documents is 23 January 2015.

Admissions to applicants will be offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in school examination, engineering degree, gate score (if any) and parents’ gross annual income and nature of socially disadvantaged background. Candidates selected will be informed of admission offer through an email by 26 January 2015.

Candidates who are offered admission must confirm that they accept the admission through an email send to admissions_stp@iiitb.ac.in  latest by 5 pm on 29 January 2015.

Candidates who accept the offer for admission and fail to appear for formal admission and registration along with all original certificates and documentation on 5 February 2015 at the IIITB Campus in Electronics City, Bangalore would forfeit admission.
