Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET ) is the first step in the process of admission to the TWO YEAR FULL TIME Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by the IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration. The examination will be held from 10 00 hours to 13 00 hours on Sunday, December 13, 2009 . The question paper will be in english only.
How to Apply :
JMET 2010 Application Form has to be submitted ONLINE. ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two modes of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose.

The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. After applying ONLINE, there are some documents that you will have to post to the “Chairman, GATE Office, IISc Bangalore-560012″. The details are given in the following link,

Eligibility:
Criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are given below. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria listed against the Management School/Department of each Institute can appear for the JMET examination.

Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, and their continuation in the programme is subject to the completion of all requirements for the qualifying degree and submission of provisional degree certificate on or before the date stipulated by the admitting Institute.
