Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET- 2010)
[Homoeopathy ]

The Entrance Test for admission to Post Graduate Degree Courses in Homoeopathic Medicines for the following subjects will be held on Sunday the 13th December, 2009 at Delhi. Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed form:-

1.      Practice of Medicine
2.      Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathy Philosophy

 
Eligibility:
The candidate must have passed the degree of Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) from the University of Delhi or from any other University established by law and recognized by Central Council of Homeopathy, after undergoing a course of study of five years and six months duration including one year compulsory internship which must be completed by 31st July 2009 and should have obtained permanent registration from the State Council/Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine

Application form duly filled in and complete in all respects should reach the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110 007 on or before 05th December, 2009 upto 03:00 PM

Note: The Faculty of Homoeopathic Medicines will not be responsible for any delay in the postal transit.

Courses and Number of Seats:-
The faculty of Homoeopathic Medicines offer Post Graduate Degree Course in 2 subjects, the subject with the no. of seats are as mentioned below:-

1.      Practice of Medicine - 2 Seats
2.      Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy - 2 Seats

Duration of Courses
The courses shall be of three years duration including one year of house job.

Examination
The examination shall be conducted in two parts, namely:

MD (Homoeopathy) Part I, which is to be held six months after completion of Junior Residency of one year's duration i.e. one year and six months of admission.

MD (Homoeopathy) Part II, which is to be held after one year and six month after Part I examination.

 

Medium of Instruction
English will be the medium of Instruction and examination for Post Graduate Degree Courses.

Requirement for Admission to Post Graduate Degree Course
1.      The candidate must have passed the degree of Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) from the University of Delhi, after undergoing a course of study of five years and six months duration including one year compulsory internship which must be completed by 31st July of the year of the admission and should have obtained permanent registration from the Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine

OR

Candidates must have passed BHMS from any other University established by law and recognized by Central Council of Homoeopathic and must have also completed one year of internship in a recognized hospital on or before 31st July of the year of admission and must have full registration with State Council /Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine.

2.      No candidate should undertake any employment during the period of study.

3.      No candidate shall join any other course or study or appear at any other examination conducted by University or a Public Body.

4.      The inservice candidate who appears in PGET (H) should submit their application through proper channel or attach a no objection certificate (NOC) from their employer to the effect that they have no objection and the candidate will be relieved or granted study leave for pursuing the course. After declaration of the result a candidate who is in service and is likely to get admission should initiate the process of obtaining study leave, so that he/she is able to join the course concerned by stipulated date.

Distribution of Seats:
50% of the total seats in Homoeopathic Post Graduate Courses per speciality are reserved for candidates who have passed BHMS from the University of Delhi and the rest 50% of the total seats are open to the candidates who have passed BHMS from other Universities in India except Delhi University.

Reservation of Seats:-
The reservation will be implemented for admission of SC/ST and others on applying 13 point Roster.
Three percent 3% seats shall be reserved horizontally for the candidates belonging to physically handicapped category.

Eligibility and Selection of Candidate
There shall be an Entrance Test for admission to the Post Graduate Degree Courses and the said test will be conducted by the University of Delhi.

1.      Admission shall be made in order of merit on basis of result of the Entrance Test. Minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test shall be 50% i.e.60 out of 120 marks.

2.      The selected candidates will be required to undergo medical examination by a duly constituted medical board at the assigned institution at their own cost on the specified date. A candidate shall not be allowed to join the course, if he/she is found medically unfit for the course.
 
How To Apply:
The application form along with Bulletin of Information may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi- 110007, against a crossed MICR Bank Draft/ Banker's Cheque only drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the 'Registrar, University of Delhi' payable at Delhi in the following manner:

1.      By hand for Rs. 700/- (Rs Seven Hundred only) for General/OBC Categories and Rs. 600/- (Rs. Six Hundred only) for SC/ST/PH Categories between 10:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M. on all working days from 10th November, 2009 to 05th December, 2009.

2.      By post for Rs. 750/- (Rs. Seven Hundred and Fifty only) for General/OBC Categories and Rs. 650/- (Rs. Six Hundred Fifty only) for SC/ST/PH Categories along with a self addressed envelope of 10" X 8" upto 28th November, 2009.

Note: - SC/ST/PH Candidates are requested to bring/ send a copy of the Caste Certificate/ PH Certificate for obtaining Bulletin of Information.
 

Procedure for Submission of Application Form for Admission
For ENT Test:-

1.      The application complete in all respects must also be accompanied by attested copies of the under-mentioned certificates as per requirement of the course applied:

High School /Higher Secondary Certificate for verification of date of birth.
Certificate in support of educational qualification: BHMS Degree.
 Detailed marks certificate of qualifying examination: I, II & Final Professional Examination of BHMS or year wise detailed marks certificates of Bachelor's Degree, as required.
The compulsory rotating Internship Certificate.
Registration Certificate from Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine.
Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe /OBC Certificate, if applicable.
Physically Handicapped certificate, if applicable.
Employer's Certificate and a No Objection Certificate (NOC), if employed (as given in the application form).

Note: No original certificate should be attached with the application form.

2.      The candidates who are in service should submit their application form through their employer or submit No Objection Certificate (Please see clause 2.5.4).

3.      Procedure for Selection of Candidates

The Post Graduate Entrance test PGET (H) will be conducted by the University of Delhi on 13.12.2009 if any seat remains vacant under All India Quota the same shall be transferred to Delhi Quota.

4.      Declaration of Result Of PGET (H).

Result of eligible candidates shall be notified on the Notice Board of the Faculty and on the website ie www.du.ac.in on or before 19.12.2009.

5.      Procedure for Counselling and Provisional Admission to PG Courses in Homoeopathy.
Admission would be made strictly on the basis of merit of the eligible candidates determined by marks obtained in the PGET (H).
In case, two or more candidates obtain equal marks in PGET (H) the interse- merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:

1.      The candidate, who has got more aggregate marks, taking into consideration marks of all the four professional examinations of BHMS course together in first attempt, will be given preference for admission.

2.      If the candidates have equal marks in BHMS also, after taking into consideration marks of all the four professional examinations, then the candidate older/oldest in age will be given preference for admission

3.      The candidates in order of merit will be required to appear before Homoeopathic Courses Admission Committee for Counselling and admission on the specified date and time.

4.      No communication would be sent to the individual candidates for appearing before the Homoeopathic Courses Admission Committee. The candidates should appear before the Homoeopathic Courses Admission Committee on the specified dates according to their merit as per schedule given at page

5.      Candidates should report to the office of the Deputy Registrar (Medical), Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007.on the stipulated date i.e. 31.12.2009 at 10:00 A.M. 2.12.4 In case a candidate does not report before the Counselling session on the specified date, he/she shall forfeit his/her claim for admission to available courses.

6.      The candidate will be required to produce admit card, original certificates as mentioned in clause 2.9.1 and a Demand Draft of Rs.7000/- towards payment of fees as mentioned in clause 2.12.8(ii) for verification, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear in the Counselling. The candidate admitted in a subject shall not be allowed to change his/her subject in any case.

7.      When a candidate appears for Counselling, he/she would be informed of the available courses. He/she would be entitled to select only one course and the candidate shall be provisionally admitted. He/she will be required to complete the essential requirements for the admission immediately.

8.      The counseling shall close as soon as all the seats of Post-Graduate Courses are allotted.

9.      As soon as a candidate is allotted a seat, he/she will be provisionally admitted in that course and will be required to submit the following immediately:
