For Admission to Engineering (BTech)/Pharmacy (B.Pharm)/Architecture (B.Arch)/Hotel Management (BHMCT)/Fashion and Apparel Design Technology (BFAD) and Post Graduate course MCA/MBA of Government, Aided and Private unaided institutions
 
The State Entrance Examination (SEE) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow will be conducted on 17th and 18th April 2010 at all major cities of UP and at Delhi, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Roorkhee and Dehradun. The Examination is for admission to the Engineering (BTech)/Pharmacy (B.Pharm)/Architecture (B.Arch)/Hotel Management (BHMCT)/Fashion and Apparel Design Technology (BFAD) and Post Graduate course MCA/MBA of Government, Aided and Private unaided institutions affiliated to UP Technical University along with some of the other Universities of Uttar Pradesh, for the academic session 2010-11.

Those opting for different courses will have to appear for the written test on as per the details given below (Course, Paper Code, and Subject in that order)

(iii) MCA; 9; Aptitude test for MCA
(iv) B.Tech (Second Year Lateral Entry); 10/11/12; Aptitude Test in Engg (Diploma)/ Pharmacy (Diploma)/B.Sc (Graduate)

(iv) B.Pharm; 1 and 2 or 3; Physics & Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology
(v) B.Arch; 2 and 6; Mathematics and Aptitude Test (Arch)

For admission to B.Tech/B.Pharm/BHMCT/BFAD courses, applicant should have passed the Intermediate Examination of the UP Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University as given in the Information Brochure of SEE-UPTU-2010. Applicant should have passed in each subject of the qualifying subject group.

For admission to the first year of the B.Arch Course, applicant should have passed the Intermediate Examination of the UP Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University securing minimum 50% marks in compulsory and optional subject as given Information Brochure of SEE-UPTU 2010.

A candidate possessing a 3-year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by the Central/State Government is also eligible for admission to B.Arch course only provided the candidate has passed the Diploma Examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Such candidates will have to appear in the Entrance Examination for B.Arch (Paper 2 and 6).
For admission to first year of MBA, applicant should have passed 3 year Degree course from any recognized University.

For admission to MCA, applicant should have passed 3 year Degree course from a recognized University with Mathematics at Plus Two level or at Bachelor Degree level.

For admission to the second year (Lateral Entry) B.Tech, applicant should have passed the 3-years Diploma in Engineering Course, securing minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 3-year B.Sc Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate as per the details provided in the Brochure.

For admission to the second year (Lateral Entry) B.Pharm, applicant should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy Course securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

Those appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for SEE-UPTU 2010, subject to their satisfying the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.10% of total sanctioned seats available in private Institutions will be filled up on merit by All India Level candidates subject to the eligibility conditions given in the Brochure, through University Counseling under the Reservation Policy of the State Government of UP.Admission test is open to those who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents (Father or Mother) are domicile of UP and to All India level candidates for the 10% seats as described  above.

Cost of Brochure/OMR Application form inclusive of Examination fee is Rs.1000/- for General/ OBC applicants and Rs.500/- for SC/ST and female applicants of all categories. Information Brochure containing OMR Application form will be available for sale against cash payment from 20.2.2010 till 12.3.2010, from all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghras (MDGs) of UP, Delhi, Nainital, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Bhopal. 

Information Brochure containing OMR Application form can also be obtained by Post from the Registrar, UP Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow, UP- 226021, till 5 .3.2010, by sending a MICR Bank Draft of Rs.1050/- for General/OBC and Rs.550/- for SC/ST and female applicants of all categories drawn in favour of 'Finance Officer UP Technical University, Lucknow' along with two self- addressed stickers.

The last date for receipt of filled up applications in the office of the Registrar (SEE), UP Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow, UP-226021 by Registered/Speed Post is 15.3.2010.
