Eligibility: a. For Full-Time MTech Programme with scholarship: (Four Semester Programme of two year duration)
1. Candidates must have passed BE/ BTech degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions.
OR
A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I.E. (India) Exam. With appropriate specialization / Grad. I.E.T.E. (India) AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi.
2. A candidate for admission to full-time course must have qualified (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) GATE Score.
b. For Full-Time Sponsored M.Tech. Programme without scholarship: (Four semester programme of two year duration)
I. A candidate must have passed B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions.
OR
A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I.E. (India) Exam. With appropriate specialization / Grad. I.E.T.E. (India) AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi.
The preference shall be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified.
Note: The number of sponsored candidates will not exceed the 50% of full-time seats.
II. The candidates must have minimum one year's full-time work experience in a registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and Research Institutes / any Government Department or Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. Experience period will be counted after obtaining the degree only.
III. A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the completion of the course.
Note: Sponsored candidate will not be eligible to receive scholarship even if they are admitted on the basis of GATE score.
Procedure for Admission:
i. All candidates for admission to M.Tech. Programmes must submit their applications to the Institute in the prescribed form as per the guidelines notified by the University.
ii. Candidates shall be required to present themselves for a written test and interview before a Selection Committee.
iii. The final selection of the candidates shall be made by the Selection Committee on the basis of their performance at the qualifying examination test and interview as indicated below:

PhD (Full Time)
Eligibility: Applications are invited for Teaching-cum-Research-Fellowship (TRF) of Rs. 15000/- per month, in the following divisions:-
a) Division of Electronics & Communication Engineering
b) Division of Computer Engineering & Information Technology
c) Division of Instrumentation and control Engineering
d) Division of Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering
e) Division of Bio Technology
f) Division of School of Applied Sciences
Eligibility:
Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Science or equivalent in relevant area with a consistently good academic record (Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate)
Candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for Ph.D. registration as per the rules of University of Delhi.
Candidate applying for Ph.D. programme must ensure that their final result are declared before the date of interview (June - 2009) otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for interview and admission.
Successful candidates, on completion of Ph.D. under the scheme, stand good chance of being considered as faculty in this institute through proper Selection Committee.
The applicant if found suitable for Research but not suitable for TRF position, can be considered for admission to Ph.D. Degree programme as Research Fellow with stipend/Fellowship as per rule.
