Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai has invited applications for admission to the following correspondence Certificate courses on All India basis having six months duration.

1. ANIMAL WELFARE (Print mode)
2. ANIMAL WELFARE (Online web based Mode)
3. OPTIMIZING CATTLE FEEDING baseD ON LOCALLY AVAILABLE FODDER RESOURCES (CD - ROM baseD)
4. MANAGEMENT OF INFERTILITY IN BOVINES (Print mode supplemented with CD)

Candidates with a pass in 10th standard or its equivalent and having experience in animal welfare activities will be preferred for admission to the courses 1) and 2) above. Candidates capable of reading, writing and speaking in English and has basic knowledge about computer operations can apply for the course 3) above. Candidates should possess B.V.Sc., B.V. Sc., & AH or equivalent degree from a recognized University for seeking admission to the course 4) above.

Course fee for the programmes is as follows:
ANIMAL WELFARE (Print mode) - Rs.1,200/- (Rupees one thousand and two hundred only).
ANIMAL WELFARE (Online web based Mode) - Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only).
OPTIMIZING CATTLE FEEDING baseD ON LOCALLY AVAILABLE FODDER RESOURCES -  Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only).
MANAGEMENT OF INFERTILITY IN BOVINES (Print mode supplemented with CD) - Rs.1,500/- (Rupees one thousand and five hundred only).

Applications and prospectus can either be downloaded at free of cost from www.tanuvas.ac.in or obtained by post on request from "The Director of Extension Education, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai – 600 051" along with self addressed stamped (Rs. 10/-) envelope of size 27 X 12 cm.

Candidate should enclose the course fee in the form of Demand Draft drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of "The Director of Extension Education, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai- 600 051" payable at Chennai, along with the filled in application form.

Completed application form along with prescribed course fee and duly attested copies of testimonials should be sent to "The Director of Extension Education, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai- 600 051" through Registered Post. The last date for the submission of completed applications is on or before 31.01.2011 at 5.45 p.m.
