INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY GANDHINAGAR

IIT Gandhinagar is looking for bright and dedicated young scholars interested in research to join us as PhD scholars. Currently, we offer PhD programme in several disciplines in

Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Materials Science and Engineering),

Sciences (Chemistry and Mathematics) and

Humanities & Social Sciences (Cognitive Science, English and Philosophy).

Prospective students satisfying the eligibility criteria are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the research areas of our faculty members for suitable match of interest. Prospective candidates should consult the project profiles of faculty members before applying for PhD program.

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for admission to the PhD programme commencing from 27 December 2011.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidate must have qualified GATE/CSIR-UGC/NET-UGC.
2. At least 55% marks in MA/MSc/B.Tech /M.Tech or equivalent degree in appropriate branches. Above mentioned eligibility criteria is minimum and the departments may use higher cut off levels for short listing. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.
