APPLICATION FORM
:
Online
Application form for the academic year 2013-14 is available on the website. The
candidate has to submit the application form online, after submitting form
online the candidate has to take a printout of the form complete the remaining
part in own handwriting and submit a dully filled hard copy of the same before 31st January 2012
along with a demand draft of Rs. 2,000 /- U.S. $ 45 (for foreign students) in
favour of “MIT INSTITUTE OF DESIGN” drawn on Pune branch as fees for Design
Aptitude Test.
The
incomplete application forms / not satisfying eligibility criteria will be
rejected. The MITID™ Design Aptitude Test (MITID-DAT™) fees ( Rs. 2, 000/-) for
rejected applications will not be refunded. No official communication will be
made regarding rejected application forms.
Last
date for submission of application form is 31st Jan 2013.
The admission
process is in two phases :
MITID-DAT™
Design Aptitude Test conducted at various centers across the country.
Studio
Test and Personal Interview at MITID™ campus in pune.
Design
Aptitude Test (DAT) will be conducted on 31th March 2013 between 10 AM to 1 PM
at various centres across India.
MITID™
reserves its right to change or cancel any of these centres.
Admission
is on the basis of MITID™ method of selection, which extends beyond the
students previous academic qualifications. The MITID™ Admission Committee
systematically seeks evidence of the perception, attitude, aptitude,
achievement and motivation essential for a challenging and satisfying design
career. The objective of the tests and the interviews is to ascertain the above
qualities. Based on scores obtained from MITID-DAT™, shortlisted candidates
will be called for second phase.
The
second phase of the admission procedure will consist of studio tests followed
by personal interviews at Institute in Pune.
The
list of shortlisted candidates for the Second Phase will be announced in MITID™
website no separate call letters will be sent to the shortlisted candidates.
All those candidates called for the second phase are required to attend the
studio tests and interview, which completes the process of selection. The
Admission Committee decides the procedures, grades and weightage every year.The
norms for the selection are the sole prerogative of the Admission Committee and
the decision of the Admission Committee and the Management in any of the
matters concerning the admission process and selection will be final. Any
direct or indirect attempt to influence the admission committee or its members,
academic office bearers or management will lead to the automatic
disqualification of the candidate(s).

Important
Instructions to be followed for filling the application form for MITID-DATTM (MITID Design Aptitude test).
The
application form is to be filled partially online (page 1 & 2) and
partially with own handwriting (page 3 & 4) by the student.
Candidates
applying should keep following things ready before filling the form
Demand
Draft of Rs. 2000/- in favor of ‘MIT Institute of Design’, payable at Pune
Instructions
for filling the form
Fields
marked by asterisks (*) are mandatory.
1. Applications not filled correctly,
completely and as per the instructions are liable to be rejected.
2. Fill up your basic information i.e.
personal and education details with the MITID-DATTM fees Demand Draft details
without which the form will not be submitted (After filling up the form you can
save it, on clicking the save button your username & password will be
generated & send to your registered email id you may save and edit data in
multiple sessions by using the username & password).
3. After filling the details if satisfied
that all data entered is correct and no more edits are required click on the
SUBMIT button and thereafter preview the entire form & take the print of
it(After submitting finally you cannot edit the data).
4. After taking the print (i.e. Hard Copy)
of the form fill the remaining part (descriptive questions page 3 & 4 of
the form) in your own handwriting, students can attach separate sheets if the
space provided for descriptive questions is insufficient.
5. Paste your current pass port size color
photograph on the space provided.
6. Attach the DD along with the form &
send to the institutes address mentioned below.
7. Once the hard copy along with the DD is
received to the Institute you will get a confirmation on your email ID
registered with us consisting of Letter with exam & center details,
receipt, admit card etc.
Check List
(before sending form):
a) Students should send hard copy of
entire form (4 pages) partially filled online & partially filled in own
handwriting. Demand Draft of Rs. 2000/- in favor of ‘MIT Institute of Design’,
payable at Pune should be attached in front of the form with name of the
student written on the back side of the Demand Draft.
b) Pass port size color photograph should be
pasted on space provided in the form.

complete set should be send by speed post (preferably) or courier to the
following address.
