Fuel Engineering
BE
/ BTech or equivalent degree in Mineral / Mining / Metallurgy / Chemical /
Mechanical / Ceramic Engg.
2.
Mineral Engineering
BE
/ BTech or equivalent degree in Mineral / Mining / Metallurgy / Chemical Engg.
3.
Mining Engg. with specialization in
(a)
Mine Planning & Design
(b)
Rock Excavation Engineering
(c)
Opencast Mining
(d)
Mine Mechanization
Any
one of the followings:
BE
/ BTech or equivalent degree in Mining / Opencast Mining / Mining Machinery
Engg.
BE
/ BTech or equivalent degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
with three years working experience in mines.
MSc
Tech (Geology) with 60% marks in Mathematics at graduate level and three years
working experience in mines.
Note:
Candidates
with Engineering background will get preference over those with Science
background.

4.
Underground Space Technology
Any
one of the followings:

/ BTech or equivalent degree in Mining / Opencast Mining / Mining Machinery /

Tech in Applied Geology with 60% marks in Mathematics at graduate level.

Geomatics

Application For
Admission:
The
application form for MTech / MPhil has to be submitted online, which is
available on the ISM website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in/admissions
The
application fee for both MTech and MPhil programmes is Rs. 1500/- for GN/OBC
candidates and Rs.750/- for SC / ST / PD candidates.
The
application fee is to be paid through online bank challan of SBI.
After
submission of the online application form, the candidate should take two
print-outs of the application forms.
1.
One printed copy should be kept by the candidate for his/her record. The
candidate has to produce this application form at the time of counselling/
admission.
2.
The other printed copy of the application form must reach to Dy. Registrar
(Exam & Acad), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826004 latest by 5th April
2013. The envelope containing the application form and other necessary
documents should be super scribed with 'Application for the Admission in MTech
/ MPhil-2013'.
3.
The application form should accompany the followings:
i.
Two recent passport size photographs stapled with the application form
ii.
The receipt of online transaction or bank challan for payment of application
fee
iii.
Self-attested photocopies of the following documents are to be attached with
the application form:
a)
Certificate verifying Date of Birth
b)
10 + 2 certificate (if applicable)
c)
Certificate of qualifying degree
d)
Gate Score card (if applicable)
e)
Caste certificate - only for SC / ST / OBC (Non-creamy) candidates
f)
Relevant certificate by the candidates who seek reservation in any sub-category
(PC / PD / JK / PS)
g)
Certificate for degree equivalence with any of the mentioned qualifying degrees
- only for that candidate whose qualifying degree does not match with, but
equivalent to, any of the degrees mentioned in the eligibility criteria
The
completed application with fee receipt should reach on or before 5th April 2013
at the following address: Dy. Registrar (Exam & Acad), Indian School Of
Mines, Dhanbad-826004. Jharkhand
The

The
All India Entrance Examination conducted by ISM will be held on 12th May
2013(Sunday) at 11- different centres: Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dhanbad, Guwahati,
Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Pune and Varanasi from 2.00 pm
to 5.00 pm.
