Applications have been invited by Mother Theresa
Post Graduate And Research Institute Of Health Sciences (MTPG&RIHS), Indira
Nagar, Gorimedu, Puducherry - 605 006 for admission to following courses of
Academic Year 2013-14.
1. Diploma in Ayurveda Pharmacy
2. Diploma in Siddha Pharmacy
3. Diploma in Homeopathy Pharmacy
Eligibility
for Admission
1. Minimum
qualification:
Must have passed Higher Secondary Course (+2) or
its equivalent and secured not less than 50% marks (40% for SC / MBC / OBC /
BCM / EBC / BT) in Part-III subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Biology (or)
Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology (Male & female candidates are
eligible for the courses).

Nationality:
A candidate seeking admission should be an Indian
National. However, French Nationals residing in the Puducherry UT and covered
by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated on par with Indian
Nationals for the purpose of admission.
3. Age
Limit:
The candidates should have completed 17 years of
age as on 31-12-2013. The upper age limit for admission shall be 35 years as on
31-12-2013.

Puducherry UT Candidates:
Candidates who are residents of Puducherry UT are
only eligible for admission to the Courses. A candidate is considered to be
Puducherry Resident (Puducherry UT Candidate) provided he/she is an Indian
National and satisfies at least one of the following criteria.
a) Those candidates or whose parents have been
residing continuously in the Puducherry UT at least for 5 years as on first of
June 2013.
b) Those who have passed HSC or any other public
examination and for that purpose had undergone academic studies immediately
preceding the qualifying examination (including the year of the qualifying
examination) in recognized educational institution(s) located in Puducherry UT
and having resided in Puducherry UT for 5 years continuously during that
period.
c) Children of Defence Personnel who were killed or
disabled in action and children of Central Government Servants/ Puducherry UT
Government Servants / Defence Personnel / Employees of Public Sector
undertakings who died while in service in Puducherry UT.
d) French Nationals residing in Puducherry UT and
covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated on par with the
candidates who produce the prescribed Puducherry UT residence certificate. Such
French Nationals will not be required to produce residence certificate, instead
they should produce a certificate of registration issued for this purpose from
the French Consulate at Puducherry.
Applications:
a) Application Form can be obtained either in
person or by post from the Registrar, Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research
Institute of Health Sciences, Indira Nagar, Gorimedu, Puducherry-605 006 or in
person from the Offices of Medical Superintendent, General Hospital, Karaikal
or Principal Nursing Officer, Karaikal Branch, Thirunallar Shopping Complex,
Thirunallar, Karaikal or Deputy Director, General Hospital, Mahe or Deputy
Director, General Hospital, Yanam, on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST
(Origin) candidates on furnishing the requisite certificate) by Cash or crossed
Demand Draft/Postal Order drawn on or after 10.07.2013 (Wednesday) in favour of
THE DEAN, MOTHER THERESA POST GRADUATE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES,
PUDUCHERRY payable at Puducherry from any Nationalised Bank.
b) Application forms can also be downloaded and
submitted along with crossed Demand Draft for the said amount drawn in favour
of “The Dean, Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research Institute Of Health
Sciences”, payable at Puducherry. If the applicants desire to receive the
Application Form and Information Brochure by post, a self-addressed envelope of
size 30 x 12 cms, affixed with postage stamp for Rs.40/- should also be
enclosed with the requisition. Filled in applications in the prescribed form
along with all necessary enclosures should be sent to The Dean, Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research
Institute Of Health Sciences, Indira Nagar, Gorimedu, Puducherry 605 006, so as to reach
latest by 31.07.2013 (Wednesday) before 5.00 p.m.
