ADMISSION TO B.Ed (2 YEARS) FOR JAN 2014 - DEC. 2015

Eligibility:

1. Undergraduates with B.Lit/ B.Com/ BA in Tamil/ History/ English/ Geography/ Applied Geography. B.Sc in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Computer Science/ Applied Physics/ Electronics/ Geo Physics/ Bio Physics/ Applied Chemistry/ Bio Chemistry/ Environmental Science/ Micro Biology/ Plant Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology.

2. P.G qualification will be considered in the case of Economics/ Psychology/ Sociology/ Political Science/ Social work/ Logic/ Indian Culture & Home Science subjects.

3. 10+2+3 or 11 + 1+3 or 10th standard with two years of Secondary Grade Teacher training with the above UG qualification arc eligible.

4. As per the NCTE norms, teachers who are working in Nursery.Primary,MiddIc.Secondary and Higher Secondary schools in Tamil Nadu, recognized by State /Central Government with a minimum of two years teaching experience arc alone eligible.

Application form along with prospectus can be obtained in person from the office of admissions. SASTRA campus (Thanjavur, Kumbakonam) on payment of Rs.600.00 or by Post on payment of Rs.650.00 by DD favouring SASTRAUnivcrsity Payable at Thanjavur.
