Post-Graduate Student Status Programme (PGSSP)
IIIT-H will accept applications for PGSSP (Spring Session) starting November 7, 2013.

Last date for applying for PGSSP Spring 2013 is 10 December 2013

The PGSS Programme (PGSSP) provides an opportunity for professionals in the Hyderabad area to benefit from the advanced courses offered at the institute. The post-graduate status can be accorded to a professional on the basis of his or her academic and experience record. Once someone is awarded the PG status, he or she can take a maximum of two courses at the institute every semester. This provides him or her with the opportunity to acquire new knowledge in chosen areas without committing to a formal programme. The courses taken under the PGSSP scheme can count towards a formal degree from the institute, should the student join one of the full-time or part-time programmes subsequently.


Eligibility
The basic eligibility for applying to this programme is that he / she should be a resident of Hyderabad( to produce NOC certificate so that a candidate can attend the classes in the office hours). The candidate has to attend the classes within week days ( Mon - Sat ). The classes for the courses selected will be conducted twice or thrice a week. Attendance for the classes is mandatory. The candidates should take minimum of one subject and maximum of two subjects in PGSSP.

Admission to the PGSSP is based on the academic and professional record of the applicants. Sample qualifications include: a Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, MCA, or a Masters degree in Science/Mathematics. Professionals with 1 or more years of experience in software design and development may also apply.


Available Courses
PGSSP students are free to register for any course in the institute for which they satisfy the prerequisites. The recommended way is to contact the course instructor at the time of registration or before to know the expectations and workload of the course involved. Important Dates
7 November 2013:     Start date for online registration
10 December 2013:   Last date for online registration
12 December 2013:   Last date for receipt of registration fee and online filling of DD details
17 December 2013:  Intimation to shortlisted candidates
28 December 2013:   Physical registration at IIIT Hyderabad Academic Office

Fees
An application fee of Rs. 1000/- is to be paid at the time of on-line registration by entering the DD Number and other details. Send the registration fee of Rs.1000/- through DD in favour of "IIIT Hyderabad " payable at Hyderabad to "Chair, Standing Committee, IIIT-H, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - 500 032" on or before 12th December 2013 by 4 PM.
PGSSP students must pay the student status fees, currently equal to Rs 16,000/-, to maintain the Post-Graduate Status in each semester. Each course the student registers for will be charged as per the pro-rata rates of the institute. The current pro-rata tuition fee is Rs. 4000/- per credit with a maximum of Rs 16,000/- per course. PGSSP students will have access to the institute's library and other academic resources as long as he or she is registered for at least one course.


Fee Structure
The following fee has to be remitted .

The total fee (if opted for two courses):Rs.58,000
The total fee(if opted for one course): Rs. 42,000

Following is the breakup for the tuition fee (per semester) Spring 2014:

Tuition fee: Rs 16,000 Course fee per subject + Rs.16,000 (student status fee) per semester
Caution Deposit: 10,000 (refundable)

No-objection Certificate from your employer
Xerox copies of qualifying certificates
2 stamp size photographs
DD in favour of "IIIT Hyderabad" payable at Hyderabad
Attendance
The students has to attend the Classes regularly,depends on the course for which the student opt at the time of physical registration.
