Criteria for
admission:
Pass in 10+2 / 12th examination from a recognized
Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2014 or 2013 subject to
securing the following percentage of marks in specified subjects.
B.Tech. (except Biotechnology) Programs : A minimum
of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or
equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
B.Tech. in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60%
aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics
& Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination
in single attempt.
Candidates who are appearing for 10+2/12th examination
in 2014 or who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2013 only are eligible. Students
who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2012 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear
for GAT (UGT) 2014.

Basic Biology and Bio-Technology or MSC in any area of Biological Science with
Proficiency in Basic Mathematics.
IV. 4 Year B.Pharmacy (Visakhapatnam Campus)
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics,
Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics & Chemistry in the qualifying
examination is needed for admission.
V. M Pharmacy Programs (Visakhapatnam Campus)
Pass in B.Pharmacy from recognized university with
a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and Score obtained in GAT (PGP) 2014
is needed for admission.

Candidates can apply in any one of the following

2. Applications are available throughout India from
branches of a) Union Bank of India b) Indian Bank and c) Karur Vyshya Bank.
3. Applications can be obtained by post from
Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s
name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 700/-
for female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at
Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
The filled-in application along with the DD for
Rs.1,000/- (Rs.600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM
UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam from any scheduled bank, should be sent to
the Director-Admissions, GITAM
