Distance
Education Cell, National Institute of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural
Development, Rajendranagar, Hyderabd – 500030 has invited applications for
admission to following courses of Academic Year 2014-15.
1. Post Graduate
Diploma Programme in Sustainable Rural Development
2. Post Graduate
Diploma Programme in Tribal Development Management
Eligibility
The
minimum qualification for admission to the Programme is graduation in any
discipline from a UGC recognised University. Those who are in the final year
and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before enrolment date
are also eligible.
Apart
from fresh graduates, the development personnel working in:
-
Rural development, agriculture (and allied sectors) and education sectors.

Non-Governmental Organisations/ cooperatives / finance and banking
organisations.

Corporate sector under corporate social responsibility. Faculty of various
development disciplines,Rural Development, Economics, Political Science, Gender
studies, Management, Agriculture and other allied discipline from
universities,colleges,Training Institutions like State Institutes of Rural
Development (SIRDs), Extension Training Institutes (ETIs), KrishiVigyan Kendra
(KVKs), Agriculture Education, Research and Training Institutions can also join
the course.
How to Apply:
The
willing students will have to download the prescribed Application Form from the
NIRD Website: www.nird.org.in/ Distance
Education Cell/PGDSRD/News and Events.
The
filled in application may be sent to Programme Co-ordinator, Distance Education
Cell, NIRD, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad- 500 030 (Andhra Pradesh), India along
with a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- for General category candidates and Rs 300/-
for SC / ST / PH candidates towards Application Fee drawn in favour of
“NIRD-DEC-PGD-SRD” payable at Hyderabad before the due date. On reverse side of
the draft, name of the applicant, name of the Programmeand Mobile number of the
applicant to be written. The application should be accompanied by relevant
attested Photostat copies of the certificates as mentioned in the application
form. No Application Fee will be payable by Foreign/NRI Candidates.
The
Last date for receipt of application from all the regions of India for
admission into PG Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development & PG Diploma in
Tribal Development Management Programmes is 23-12-2013.
