M.Sc Admission Notice 2014-2015
Applications are invited by National Institute of
Technology, Tiruchirappally for Admission to M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Computer
Science) programmes for the year 2014 – 2015.
ELIGIBILILTY
FOR ADMISSION TO M.Sc. PROGRAMMES:
Minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in the qualifying
examination for OP / OBC and 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 for
SC / ST candidates. Final semester students can also apply provided their final
marks are made available on or before 15th September, 2014. Such candidates may
be considered for provisional admission. However, these candidates must have
successfully passed with 60% mark in one to four semesters or two years of
B.Sc. on the date of application. The application must include attested copies of
mark lists and bonafide certificate from Head of the Institution in the
prescribed format. Any candidate admitted provisionally, subject to his/her
producing provisional certificate and mark lists as proof of having satisfied
the eligibility criteria, shall have to discontinue the course, if he/she does
not produce the provisional certificate and mark lists on or before 15th
September, 2014.

The filled up application form along with
enclosures and a non refundable registration fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.100/- for
SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities) by means of Demand Draft in favour of
“Director, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli- 620 015” payable
at Tiruchirappalli should reach Dean (Academic), National Institute of
Technology, Tiruchirappalli-620015, Tamil Nadu on or before 23rd May, 2014
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
1. Selection will be based on the marks obtained in
entrance test conducted by NITT and the qualifying degree examination marks.
2. The entrance test for all the M.Sc. programmes
will be conducted on 8th June 2014 from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at NIT
Tiruchirappalli.
