NTTF courses

NTTF offers skill oriented three year diploma programmes for those who completed SSLC or Plus two courses. This is a career oriented programme with immense opportunities within the country and abroad. Courses include Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Electronics/Mechatronics/ Computer engineering/Technical skills/ Manufacturing Technology. Moreover NTTF offers three year Diploma in Information Technology. Diploma I Tool and Die Making will have one year industrial Training.

Vocational programme include certificate programme in Precision Machinist which is of two year duration including one year industrial training. Campus placement is an added attraction of these courses. Admission is based on online entrance examination to be held from 27th April 2014 onwards. NTTF has centres across the state and Bangalore, Coimbatore and Trichy.

Maritime courses

In the era of increasing international trade of products and services, Maritime courses are emerging as one of the best career oriented courses in the world. Indian Maritime University- a Central University under Ministry of shipping called for admission to Maritime courses for plus two students and graduates. Ship building, Naval Architecture, Dredging and Harbour Engineering are some of the emerging areas of Maritime Engineering courses.

Maritime University offers courses related to Port and Shipping Management, International Transportation and logistics and maritime laws. Admission is based on common Entrance Test. It will be a Computer based Test similar to IIT-JEE. Online registration is open from 18th April 2014 onwards. Last date for online registration is 20th May 2014. PG Diploma in Informatics and Management

In order to improve the employability of graduates Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will offer Post graduate Diploma in Informatics and Management under Technology enabled distance learning mode. Duration of the course is two semesters. As per Dual degree programme of UGSC final year students and any graduate can apply for the programme. Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will offer a two semester Diploma in integrated farming systems for the women under Technology enabled distance learning mode. Those who completed SSSLC can apply. Kerala which forms only 1.18 per cent geographic area of the country has immense potential in integrated farming Systems. Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) will be organizing the XXI Annual Convention of Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology (ISVIB) at Madras Veterinary College, Chennai from 17th to 19th July 2014. To address the problems affecting livestock and poultry health and thereby livestock and poultry industry, it is also proposed to conduct International Symposium on “Livestock Diseases Affecting Livelihood Options and Global Trade – Strategies and Solutions” during the Annual Convention.
