TN BPharm (Lateral Entry) Course 2014-2015 Session Admission
Notice
Applications have been invited by Selection
Committee, Directorate Of Medical Education, # 162, E.V.R. Periyar High Road,
Kilpauk, Chennai 600 010 for admission to BPharm (Lateral Entry) Course of
2014-2015 session.
Eligibility:
The candidate should be a citizen of India.
Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu.
Candidates who have studied from VIII to XII
standard in schools of Tamil Nadu need not enclose the 'Nativity Certificate'.
Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu but studied
from VIII to XII Std either partly or completely in schools situated outside
Tamil Nadu should produce the 'Nativity Certificate.'
Educational Qualification:
a. Candidates should have passed in HSc qualifying
Examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent
examination.
b. Candidates should have passed Diploma in
Pharmacy course
Minimum Eligibility Marks:
I. Candidates should have aggregate of 40% marks in
the first and second year DPharm Examination with a pass in HSC,
or
Candidates belonging to all categories except SC /
SCA / ST for admission to BPharm (Lateral Entry) course must have obtained
individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology or
Mathematics both in theory and practical with a minimum of 35% marks and with
not less than 40% aggregate marks in the above subjects in the qualifying
examination (Academic Stream) after a period of 12 years of study i.e., 10 +2
pattern of education with a pass in DPharm Course.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes /
Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar / Scheduled Tribes must have obtained individual
pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology (or)
Mathematics both in Theory & Practical with a minimum of 35% marks in the
above subjects with a pass in DPharm Course.
II. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy
should have completed 500 / 750 hours of practical training on or before
31.5.2014 and should have obtained the provisional certificate for having
passed the Diploma Examination.

Applications can only be downloaded from the
websites www.tnhealth.org and www.tn.gov.in
and the filled application along with
necessary enclosures and 2 self-addressed envelopes measuring 24 X 10 cms and
sent in a large sized cover measuring 38cm x 28 cm super-scribed ‘Application
for BPharm (Lateral Entry) Course 2014-2015 Session’ to the Secretary,
Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 on or before 16-07-2014 by 5.00 pm
along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 350/- towards the cost of application form
which is non-refundable drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee
and payable at Chennai.
