Eligibility:
Candidates should have passed BEd degree in the
subject concerned from any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other
University recognised by the Mahatma Gandhi University as equivalent thereto for
admission with a minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 2.2.
Relaxation in Marks in the qualifying examination:
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Category: The
applicants in these categories need only a pass in the qualifying examination
to apply for MEd programme.
SEBC Category: A relaxation of 3% marks in the
qualifying examination from the prescribed minimum is allowed.
OEC Category: A relaxation of 5% marks in the
qualifying examination from the prescribed minimum is allowed.

The format of the application and pay in slip can
be downloaded and printed from the site www.mgu.ac.in
The candidates need not give college options at the
time of registration. Those who are included in the rank list can give college
options at the time of Counselling. The colleges will be allotted based on the
rank position and the options of the candidate. For the same reason the
candidates need to submit only one application for opting any number of
colleges.
A registration fee of Rs. 350/- (Rs.250/-for SC /
ST candidates) shall be remitted shall be remitted either at the cash counter
of the University or at Friends Janasevanakendram or by way of MG University
pay in slip of A/C No. 67114059391 at State Bank of Travancore. Fee once
remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. The filled in
application with all necessary supporting documents should reach the Office of
the Deputy Registrar I(Acad), CAP Cell 2, Mahatma Gandhi University,
Priyadarsini Hills P.O, Kottayam - 686560. ‘Application for admission to MEd
Programme 2014-15 through CAP’ should be super-scribed on the envelope
containing the filled in application form and supporting documents. A self-
addressed stamped envelope (Rs 5/-) shall be enclosed along with the
application.
The last date for receipt of filled in application is 19th
July 2014.
